^^ check this link out

http://www.apple.com/mac/whichmacbook/compare.html

the low end 13 inch pro and the macbook are somewhat similar and probably near in capability, except that the new 13 inch unibody pro is lighter, backlit keyboards, an sd slot, slight faster processor speed, and faster ram (DD3 @ 2GB is faster than DD2 @ 2GB).

You'll probably only notice a difference once you get to at least the high end 13 inch or 15 inch macbook pro which starts to have a better graphics card and better processer. everything before that is the same. higher end macbook pros the 15 inch on have 2 graphics cards.

from 2GB to 4GB of ram...sure you will notice a different when you start running a lot of programs. dd3 is faster than dd2...but i dont know how specific because I havent check the latency for those.

Just buy basic set up and install ram yourself. they have tons of text and video how tos by google searching or looking on youtube. you'll save money that way and its really easy.

Ahh ok. Thanks for that link! I compared the 4GB 13'' to the 15'', and it seems like the only difference is paying $200 for 2 more inches o_0
Thanks so much for your help! smile.gif

I've seen some pictures of Kim Joon (Woo Bin of Boys Over Flowers Drama series) using the white Macbook!

Here are some pics! I'm really glad to see him use Macbook since he also happens to be one of my favorite korean actors/singers smile.gif

LOL, good one. I don't if it's just me, or I don't like ppl bought a Mac but using Windows. Personally I couldn't find any reason to use Windows on a Mac. I guess I'm not a fan of Windows' games, Macs do more than enough for me.

As far as I know, Koreans don't like Apple in general. laugh.gif Most of Korean sites work better on Windows, such as Clubbox only works on PC. They have their own touch phones (but I still think it's derived from Iphone originally), most of my korean friends don't seem to like Ipod that much, they prefer their domestic products such as mp3 with other functions such as watching TV, or radio, stuff like that which more compatible with Korean networks.

they buy it for the status, much like people buying SUVs but never taking them offroad, now there are SUVs in the market that can't even go offroad.

I think I agree with this smile.gif They are also not a fan of iPod and they prefer their own brand of mp3 player(most of the time Samsung). I guess they just prefer buying their own products which is also good smile.gif

And they should, just like in the US we tell our consumers to buy American brand items.

i'm a noob at the tech stuff...but i'm planning to bring my macbook on the airplane bc it provides a socket so i can charge it if it runs out. but i need to check if the "watt" fits ...i don't want to fry my computer tongue.gif
--
i found my airline and it says the sockets they have "The power output is 15 volt DC (75 watts) or 110 volt AC (100 watts)."
"When travelling on aircraft equipped with DC power, you need to have your own universal air power adaptor that plugs into an "empower" socket. This is different from your terrestrial power charger, and can purchase on the ground at any major computer store.

AC power sockets are receptacle for US 2 or 3 pins plug and European standard. It is suitable for most multi-plug adaptors commonly used by travellers and no transformer is required. "

---
fyi: its cathay pacific airlines
would it be compatible for my macbook? i dont have an adapter at the moment.
someone plz help me,i'm flying off sunday. it'll be vry appreciated smile.gif

Apple offers adapters for charging in different countries. They are pretty pricey though.

What covers do you guys recommend for the macbook? I'm not looking for the skin designs but more for protection.
