I want a bit of help on writing korean smoothly on the mac. i have all the 한굴 modes set. Using GongjinCheong Romaja i can write basic words as it follows the keyboard quite neatly like typing R for ㄹ.
But trying to type ㅕ as its not on the viewer, i have to switch to 390 sebulshik. so i keep switching between modes. is there a smoother way of doing this?
Best thing to do is go under the System Preferences>International>Input Menu
Check the box labeled 2-Set Korean. That's the only Hangul set you need, don't use any others. Then assign a hotkey to switch from English <> Korean...i used command+1.
PS. You should update to Mac OS X 10.5.8 as it included some critical updates.
Congrats! I never use iWork, for me after X years of using Microsoft Office that's all i need. Plus it's more compatible when opening and exchanging Office documents from Windows users. I think if you're going to invest in a $1000+ laptop you should get the Applecare Plan.
As far as the charging is concerned no worries - if your battery is already full charged, the computer uses it as straight up AC power and bypasses the battery.
you know when there are those 'software updates'? Sometimes there are big files like an update to Word (180-ish mb)... when you install those software updates, do the old files get deleted/or written over? or are those updates always taking additional space?
cause i'm really anal about spaaaace lolllll thank you!
very sorry if this has been asked before...
Unlike Windows, Mac does not store copies and copies of install files buried in your HD somewhere. The only additional space you will see taken is the patched application file. I usually unmout/delete .dmg after i'm done.
