Hello,

I have a 13" Black MacBook, 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I bought this about a month ago and I'm lovin it!! tongue.gif
I also have a desktop pc but i dont use that much anymore cuz the macbook is just so simple and easy to use, and quicksilver is so awesome lol. I just like how everything works together; and downloading and installing apps is very easy.
I mainly got the mac to use photoshop and illustrator, and, of course, like anyone else, (i didnt buy them) LOL shhhhhhh!

OMG My Macbook Pro is DEAD from LEOPARD Upgrade!!!!!!!!!!
j/k smile.gif I'm going to check my bookstore tomorrow to see if they have Leopard. Looks nice, can't wait for timemachine, easy backup manage across my 5TB drives biggrin.gif

EDIT - 8:32AM Just nabed it from the bookstore for 84 bucks! smile.gif Here I go!!!!

EDIT2 - 9:18AM Install Done! Looks great smile.gif Easy to upgrade.

Agree! I've completed the upgrade from Tiger to Leopard on both my PowerMac G5 and my MBP. The only issue I've run into (so far) is my mouse (it's a Lazer Pro or something...1600DPI, seven buttons, etc.) -- the driver isn't compatible. Thankfully, the guys at Razer are working on an update smile.gif

I'm installing software now so crossing fingers! But right now, I'm digging the new cat smile.gif

P.S. - Thank you for the banner, Xarthan. I added it to the first page with credit to you. Hope you don't mind!!

I really want to get a Macbook Pro, but I want the size to be at leat 13" or smaller. sad.gif
I've tried the Macbook, but I don't like the design. Does anyone know if they're planning to
make any 13" for the Mackbook Pro?

i'm not loving my iMovie at this moment dry.gif
i was trying to make a video and the limited transition options irked me.
plus they go by so fast, i could hardly see the clips transitioning mad.gif
:
can someone recommend another Mac-compatible video making program, i don't care if i have to pay for it.
and my CS3 sucks. i can't save gifs anymore. i had CS before but had to cross-platform upgrade when i got my iMac.
and let's just say that i don't feel like i got the upgrade, more like downgrade to me mad.gif

for video editting, Final Cut Pro seems to be one of the best for Mac compatible...
it's a lot more advanced than imovie..
iMovie is just basic quick editting...

Hi kYo,

I believe iMovie transitions can be slowed down with the sliders. Which version of iMovie are you using??

As for CS3, they incorporated ImageReady into Photoshop. So, the animated gifs are still possible, but the process is a bit different. It's still the same in theory, though. Click Window --> Animation and you'll see the Timeline that should look familiar from ImageReady.

^^ i figured out how to slow down the transitions... i have iMovie'08 and in the tutorial i saw the guy used an '06
and it seemed like he had more transition styles to choose from dry.gif
:
as for the animation timeline in CS3, you're right they look the same, but when i go and save the gifs i just made (as .gif)
it would still flatten the layers, argh! mad.gif

Does anyone use the Mac Office 2004????

if you do, is it any different to the Microsoft Office 2003? Other than the look, are everything else really similiar? I kinda need to know because I'm taking a class that goes through word, excel, and etc. And I don't want to parallel because it just seems complicated and i'm afraid to get a virus. haha...

When you save your GIF, are you doing "Save As", or "Save for Web & Devices" ??

I'm using it at the moment and it's fine. Nope it's not any different.

Quick concern. I have been stalking those mac vs. pc issues, since I'm considering a mac. I know, I know how many you guys out there are satisfied with your macs. But there's a rumour that macbook and macbook pro are overheating like crazy, and those random shutdown, so I kinda hold back, wait and see what apple going to do. (My weird habit of putting laptop on my stomach won't change, and I don't want to fry my belly fat).

Also, how about the customer's service ? I'm kinda doubt about Apple Care.

Anyways, I have to be careful with my investment. Sry if this is a such a noob's question.
