Personally, I loveee the plastic white...I guess I should get one now before the B2S promotion ends. >_<
Could someone recommend anything else (case ect.?) that I should get when I purchase a new macbook?
thanks in advance :]

before i can use my mac for 3-4 hours without the power cord plugged in..
but now, even though it says that i'm fully charged..
just about 60% remaining in my batt, my mac completely shuts down..
also, whenever i charge it, it always says 99% never a hundred..
idk if it's because i installed caffeine, which enables my mac not to go on sleep..
but i barely use it now..

I'm pretty sure it won't hold the battery at 100% when plugged into AC to avoid risk of the battery leaking or catching fire. There was a lot of information that came out around the release of the MacBook about how the system purposely lets the battery drain a bit. I've seen mine go down to as low as 95%. Apple released an update back in the summer of '06 that reduced how much the battery drains, and I haven't seen mine go down below 99% since then.
http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html has some good information on discharge cycles and how to get the most out of your notebook battery.

I guess you are asking about accessories?
There's really a BUNCH of choices you can choose from as far as your macbook is concerned.
A simple sleeve cover, a backpack version where you can put your laptop, or a case w/strap just for the macbook.
For me, I got myself a Brenthaven Laptop case.
The Brenthaven cases are slightly more expensive than the other cases i think, but it's definitely worth it. They're extremely sturdy and there's a lifetime warranty. I had my strap replaced because I had a problem with one of the metal hinges and they gave me a new one without any question and i didn't even have to send my broken one in. They actually went on and sent me an upgraded version of the strap which was a lot better.
http://store.apple.com/us/product/TH386LL/...mp;s=topSellers <-- this link is the exact one i got, I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a case that's only for your macbook.
I also have the iLAP from rain design. Macbooks heat up excessively when you use them for hours on end and this little laptop stand does wonders.
Yes, it's 50 bucks, but I think it's definitely worth it.

If you're really OCD about your laptop getting scratched, you can also find those invisible shield sort of covers that will completely cover your macbook, including the track pad button, etc.
Hope that helped.

The hard shell's purpose is to simply keep the exterior of your macbook scratch and smudge-free. I don't really think it would serve any other purpose, but if you get that one you could definitely just slide it into your backpack w/o a problem.
Only downside to the hardshell is...since it covers the bottom of the macbook as well, ventilation is most likely the main problem with it, but i've seen plenty of people with it and they don't seem to mind that their macbooks heat up like crazy. Another downside is that it makes your macbook look slightly thicker.
Regular sleeve is made out of a really nice material. My gf has one, but if you were to drop it, it'll definitely not help prevent any damage.
That's why i got the brenthaven case. I've dropped that bag maybe twice while I was standing up. Hardly none to no damage at all.
I can't really recommend any other case because those are really the main one.
1. Cases like the Brenthaven.
2. hard shell
3. Sleeve
There's pros and cons to all of them. You just have to choose which one you'd prefer more.

The only problems I can see with it is it becoming slightly heavier and thicker. As for the ventilation and the increased head accumulation as a result of it, I have really seen not that much of a difference, if at all. I use the istat widget and it still maintains my enclosure base at 30-40 degrees. However, this could be because I have a stand that props the laptop above the ground, but even still, the before and after installation temperatures haven't changed.
Pros with the new case that came out is that it's much more well designed and form fitting [mac-looking?] than the Speck case. It also does a good job at preventing dents and scratches.
I have a softshell case like the person above mentioned. I'm positive the brenthaven case must be better than the incase one I have if the laptop didn't get damaged, as my laptop received a couple small dents after banging inside my bag with textbooks and other things hitting it.
Lastly, you should consider investing in a keyboard cover. It impedes crumbs, and dust from reaching the keyboard and helps to delay spills. It also prevents the keyboard from wearing down as quickly.

glad i can help
Are you putting it in your lap? When you are using a laptop it should be on a flat surface nothing soft unless you want to suffocate your laptop or burn a hole thru your legs. Seeing how it's new you shouldn't need a cooler.
For cooling you can check out smcfancontrol
You basically control how fast you want your fans to go. Playing games or watching lots of stuff at once? Use the control and make the fans go faster to cool down your laptop

Other than that laptop coolers are every where, just check google for a good one.
