I don't know about you guys but I've noticed that when people talk in English their voices are lower but when they talk in their home language their voices are higher...do you notice that too? or is it just me? =S

Example: I'm Hmong so when I talk in English my voice tends to be lower but as soon as I switch over to my Hmong language my voice tends to go up =S not high pitched or anything but just that there's a slight difference...

lol if you don't believe me go pay attention to people around you or try talking in English and then your home language and see if there's a difference

When I speak korean, my voice is much higher.
When I speak english, my voice is pretty low.
Like usually my voice is a bit low, but when I speak other languages it gets higher.

Weird huh?lol

English is my first language, but usually when I (and people in general) break off into the local dialect, you tend to sound more aggresive and louder. It happens. tongue.gif

Actually, I think that's quite true to me too. I just tried, teehee. happy.gif. But yeah, I tend to go up. But naturally yeah, because I think I enjoy speaking Chinese more since it's such a pretty language. happy.gif. But yeah, my voice is naturally deep for a girl, so there's a pretty big contrast for me.
Love is unexpected.

I totally found my perfect match. :D. Set credit to kitinah.

I don't think i have much of a tone difference between English and Shanghainese. I was told that when I spoke Shanghainese, I was 10x louder (and I'm already a loud person) and I had a rough way of speaking hahaha.

I think when I speak Korean, I sound younger? Maybe because I don't have an extensive vocabulary in Korean :x
And my tone goes up when I speak Korean?
When I speak English sometimes I tend to have fobby accent on some words haha x]] but I sound a little older and my voice is lower

English and Cantonese can go either way. Both languages sometimes go high or low so there really isn't a set tone for me.
