I have been searching for amazing asian female dancers and i haven't found any. And i'm talking about someone who could go against American female dancers like Ciara, Janet jackson, J.Lo, Mila J, Beyonce, etc... I know people are going to say BoA but seriously I haven't seen anything by her that made me say wow. But if you can found something then post that. Thanks.

If you mean singer-dancers then I think BoA is definitely one of the best. Watch her Over the Top performance and that's a gauge of how well she can dance

To be honest..I think its gotta be BoA for one....others like Nami Tamaki...ermm...0______0...not really that great. she basically just repeats her dances AND her songs. But for others...I think some of the dancers who back up for BoA are incredible. I don't remember their names but they were introduced at some point of her Love and Honesty Tour...so yeah....Ppl say Bae Sul Gi is good at dancing....but right now I don't see her doing any thing...AMAZING....then there's Chae Yeon...Shes alright I guess...Also Hyori Lee...I haven't actually seen her dance yet...so....yeah. But another one is Ayumi from Sugar...her dances are alright too....but over all....I think its gotta be BoA. for most variety. I mean...take a look at her Spark performances...same with Moto and Girls On Top. theyre really crazy. *i like Sweet Impact too*

I agree with the others. Obviously, BoA isn't the greatest dancer in the universe, but she has shown some really good performances over the years in both Korea and Japan.

Why does everyone say BoA? she isn't good at everything and dancing is one of them. SHE CAN'T FREESTYLE, her dancing is the exact as her background dancers. She does NOT STAND OUT. She can NOT compete against americans. Let's PLEASE be REALISTIC!

U;Nee was an original dancer. Her dancing can be put up against the best. Her flexibility really helps her in achieving uniqueness. She uses every part of her body, from her hair to her toe.

Although that Yoshie girl is really good
first of all, no girl in the entertainment industryt whether it be asia, america, whatever
can compete with Janet Jackson, I don't even know why her name was mentioned.

reason being she is the reason why all of these females are dancing the way they dance today, she is an all around dancer, she's a natural dancer as well, place any female next to her and they will put to shame.

Secondly, I don't think any asian female from what I've seen (Stephanie, Boa, Hyori, Bin) can compete with any of the girls listed (Ciara, Janet, J.lo). Reason being, they are all natural dancers while Boa, Stephanie,Hyori all rely on choreagraphy, people say Stephanie is natural but I was watching that clip of her dancing to Nelly and her moves were very stiff and counted, also she ran out of moves so fast so her freestyling is weak, she was doing the harlem shake all wrong, she was trying to pop her booty but it didnt look right because she does not have that natural ability to pop it. Even though I don't think Beyonce is a good dancer (Solange is a much better dancer, watch them in the "Get me bodied" video), she has the natural ability to move her hips and stuff like that.
This is one reason why I respect american dancers the most.

But I know some good asian female dancers
one of them being Bi's dancers, I don't remember her name though.

I would recommend:

- BoA: Her moves are really powerful, and she doesn't stick to one type of dance. You can see her dancing the sexy dance, poewrful dance, cute dance, and they all fit her, and she makes all the moves hers. Plus, you should watch her doing her "Over The Top" perfomance or Moto. Everything is good, especiially her dance around the 4th & 5th album. and even her Sweet Impact dance.

- TSZX's Stephanie: She was a ballerina, so yes, she can dance well. I mean, she can atleast do ballet well, and she's really flexible causing her to do a lot of good dancing. You should check her out. Her song "What U Want" was all choreographed by her.

in general it seems less is expected of the girls. That goes doubly in Japan. I mean, people refer to Koda Kumi as a great dancer. I love the girl and i can see that she's always smooth but... her choreography sucks. There's more of an emphasis on it in Korea, but even then. There's alot of Hyori-esque dancing, it fails to dazzle :\

I wonder why T-boz from TLC is never mentioned as a great female dancer
she was the best dancer in TLC, I love her moves.

The only real excellent female dancer in Korea is GILGUN. She isn't that popular becuase she isn't a very good singer and doesn't have a pretty face, but she is an amazing dancer.... she also trained some big stars in dancing... like Hyori during her '10 minute days', and Chae Yeon when she danced to 'Two of Us'. I think she is even better than Beyonce.

yeah, I mean I love Boa too... but that doesn't make her the best dancer... I feel like a lot of people think she's the best just cause everyone knows her since she's been around so long and she's so popular and well-liked... I think Stephanie is a really good dancer but sometimes it just looks too unnatural... but I give her a lot of props for being good at a lot of different types of dance.. how many other dancers are so versatile? I also think KilGun is really good... she's also really flexible.. I feel like she's not given enough credit b/c not as many ppl know her, but I think she started out as a dancer which is why she's so good.. I think Bin, Boa, etc. are all good, but out of Korean dancer, Stephanie and KilGun are the best.
