If not, when did it first start and did you "just know"?
Have u ever gotten a test to find out what your allergic to, what do they do and how does it feel?
I think im getting allergies. Im not sure. I get like oblong shaped weird bumps on my face that get red and itchy. Like on my forehead, on my eye bag and side of my face. But then slowly dissapate after awhile. But get red again like later the day. Or pop up in a different place. But i dont know if its allergies or my face is just acting weird.

i didn't think i was born with the allergy because i remember having many pets when i was younger,
but my mom just told me i had it all my life. i just chose to ignore my allergies & have pets anyway. -__-x

i went to the doctor for a check up to double check and he said it was allergies...but the thing was he didn't say what i was allergic too!
my mom has allergies and it was so bad that she finally went to one of those allergy doctors that was covered by her company's insurance...
umm....if i can remember correctly....after filling out papers, the doctor came in asking questions like what kind of symptoms and when the allergies would occur, any pets, etc. then he did a manual check up like looking up the nostrils, mouth and ask if this or that hurt when he placed his finger here (around the eyes). after that he asked one of the nurses to give my mom a breathing test where she had to blow through this tube thingy (i guess to test her breathing or something, idk). that was the first visit. in the one after that, they had the nurse inject several small drops of diff. insulin in her back (prolly around 20-30) and when the doc came in to view my mom's back to see how her body reacted to each insulin....depending on the redness and size of the bumps that appear to figure what she was allergic to. etc etc. hope that helps answer your question.

i remember i ate half a snickers bar 1st period and then throughout the day i became really itchy, especially on my stomach and back. i didnt think it was anything related to allergies because i had eaten snickers before and nothing had ever happened. but around 6th period, i was SO itchy i couldn't concentrate so i went to the bathroom and saw that i had red bumps all over my stomach and back. i thought it was just a rash and if i didnt itch it anymore, it would go away.
when i got home, my mom told me that if i dont itch, it will probably go away so i went upstairs to read my book for school and all of a sudden i felt something weird on my face and when i looked in the mirror i saw that i had the same kind of rash on my face. i realized that the rash was actually hives. on the way to the hospital with my mom, the hives got worse and my throat started to close, making my voice raspy. when i got to the ER, they injected Benedryl into my left arm and put an IV tube in my right arm to give me more medication. they did this because they said my allergic reaction had gotten so bad that they couldn't give me the medication orally.
so yeah thats basically how i knew i became allergic.. haha. i wasnt positive that it was nuts that caused the reaction, but when i went to my friend's bday party she had pecan ice cream cake. i ate everything except the pecans, but i still felt like i was going to get hives. so i figured that even though i didnt eat the pecans, i was allergic to them because i ate the stuff that was around/touching the pecans. since then, there's been some other instances where im pretty positive that im allergic to nuts. also, my brother has been allergic to nuts all his life so that may be related to my allergy.
i still havent gotten an offical allergy test yet. i think i am going to get one this summer before i go to college so i can be sure of what i am allergic too.
also.. ever since i became allergic to nuts, i've also started to have seasonal allergies. they're getting really bad right now so i have to take a Claritin every morning.

But now I'm fine. It's really odd. I used to be allergic to fresh Mangoes as well. But apparently, that's not the case anymore.

i'd get headaches, watery eyes and feel congested.
i'll always remember my allergy test: i had to lie on my stomach so the nurse can prick/cut different sections of my back and she'd drop liquids from different allergens and watch for my skin to react
i'm allergic to certain pollens / trees (like melaleucas) and molds.

Like, I would go outside in the spring time, and my nose would start running, and I would sneeze and stuff.
And that's when I realized I was allergic to like pollen or something.
But it didn't happen before that, so I don't know why I started developing an allergy.

the freakin rashes (red spots) spread throughout my body
and i was scratching my skin like heck
it was all over my back, arms, legs.
i was really UBER SUPER itchy it made me cry
i thought i had some kind of cancer or whatever
and im not even exaggerating.
THANK GOD ITS GONE NOW.
