so i searched through 12 pages and found no topic about this.

I'm planning to be a classics major (currently undecided) and all i've heard is that classics is good for pre-gradschool...but 4 yrs of post-secondary is the max. for me crazy.gif

what jobs/careers are available? what's the success rate? how difficult exactly is the classics major? what types of people take this major?

i wanted to go into hospitality sooner/later and i wasn't sure where the classics major would lead me. anyone?

It literally took me 7 seconds to find this info through Google:
http://www2.ups.edu/classics/why_classics.html

Maybe next time, you should do a little bit of research on your own OUTSIDE of soompi.

let me rephrase the question:

what types of ppl take this major--> how exactly difficult is classics for anyone majoring in it right now?

other ?'s:
what should one expect? what do you plan to do with the major/ are you going to go to grad school?

Well, I'm a classics minor and I'm just doing it all for fun, so I don't know much about the areas you can pursue. I must say, be prepared for a load of studying. These languages require a lot of dedication.

My cousin is majoring in Latin.
She is planning to teach in High school...although I haven't found a high school teaching Latin but there is an idea.

Many high schools in NY are starting to offer Latin again. I started Latin in HS.
