Hm, I wouldn't know about your second question.
But for your first question...yes, your latest GPA for the last semester is used (at least, that was for me). But it's ALWAYS best to apply early and be punctual than to be late with a better GPA. There's a more likely chance that you'll get accepted into the college, etc. Just keep working hard because the colleges will look at your transcript again later in the summer when your senior year is over.

^ I agree with pretty much that person said. No worries cause your counselor will send ONE last transcript to the college that you got accepted too. :]

Oh, and also when you take summer classes, does that go into your gpa also? (I didn't fail, retaking to get ahead)

For the second question: Yep. If it's on your transcript, then it will be added to your GPA.
