just found out a week ago that my brother's chinchilla is a GIRL
we got HER over a year ago and took the breeder's word that SHE was a HE

anyways, i brought my chinchilla home for the summer
and a week ago
found out my little guy is no longer a virgin and has a little mini me running around!

here's the little guy at 4days old

he looks really unproportional

Took some new pictures of Chubbles I liked. He is a little cross eyed, my vet said he probably has some Siamese in him.






The rug he's on, the last we had it out was when Jengo was still with us. It must've had her scent on it because he spent the longest time sniffing it and now rolls around on it. He's also quite protective of it. He won't let the stray who we took in get on it when he sees her getting on it!

Delster, your cat Jengo reminds me of my cat Willow. Im so sorry to hear she's passed away. I hope it wasnt a painful passing =(
My other cat, while I was away from home, got mauled by 2 dogs who somehow got into our backyard. I was so heartbroken that I couldn't stop crying for days, even in the middle of one work day that I had to go home cos I was inconsolable.

But here are 2 of my other cats, they're now purely indoor cats. Their names are Zeke (the black one) and Willow (the tortoishell).

Thank you, I'm so sorry that happened to Willow. She does look like Jengo! The way they lie down is exactly the same I bet she was pretty feisty then too huh?
I still miss here a lot, but I've also come to terms with it.

Aw, I adore dogs that look like that!..He resembles a german shepherd : ). Is he mixed with it or something??? I love GSDs, they have this loyal and genuine look to them <3

FOR ALL DOG OWNERS - and people who know any
The product itself has been recalled, but if you know anyone or you own a pimple ball (made by Four Paws), please throw it away and warn your other friends. This is an old story, I wasn't aware of it till today but it is about a dog named Chai who was playing with this chew toy and it created a vacuum sucking his tongue into the ball. Chai eventually had to have his tongue amputated.

This is the story, it is the last one on the page.

Apparently, it is not a lone case. Someone had it happen to his dog back in 2005 (unfortunately, the dog did not make it) and although he let the company know then it is not until 2008 until the product was recalled! I'm disappointed that Four Paws did not take immediate action on this, as the first and most recent blog will tell you, they failed to keep in correspondence with the blogger and did not even get in contact with him until a friend with high connections contacted them on his behalf.
