What are some things like soda, candy and other junk foods that are uniquely Japanese?

rice crackers with dried seaweed!

Lotte chocolate filled koalas, Meiji chocolate filled pandas
Lotte and Meiji both have a variety of chocolate products
I like Meiji's dark chocolate (they call it "black") bars o yummmm
their chocolate covered gummy is also bomb

for drinks...
ramune soda comes to mind first

Mmmm dark chocolate biggrin.gif Thanks for the asian food grocer site, looks like some good stuff! What does the strawberry & peach kit-kat's taste like? Are they like fruity chocolate, just fruit or white chocolate with flavoring? They don't have those in the U.S. There's only Chocolate & Dark Chocolate Kit-Kat. What's Mochi? Like, what flavor is that?

mochi is sticky rice cake
its sort of chewy and sweet, and has its own flavor
stuff like red bean paste of ice cream can be wrapped in mochi

its delicious~!!!
you can find some sort of mochi sweet in most asian markets in the USA
as well as most of the goodies in the site
