I'm realllly interested in buying a sky phone.
and i'm willing to spend under 1K on it
but the thing is, where can i get them?
Specificially i'm looking at the IM-U160 <3
I live in Vancouverr
& im not sure if they will even work here.

So can anyone help? will they be able to work heree, and if so where can i get them? (=

I HAVE THAT PHONE! It's pretty awesome once you know how to crack the software to download music and videos and stuff into it... I think it's impossible to use it in Canada because the Korean phone shops in LA make it so that it works on Verizon Wireless which is not available in Canada... But I don't live in Canada so I'm not sure...

But i heard that since you use american service provider, you have to use more money for the service to be transferred to your phone...

I'm not 100% positive but since Verizon uses CDMA technology (as opposed to GSM) and Telus also uses CDMA, I think you should be able to use SKY phones here, assuming that it's CDMA technology.

Actually it's not only that it has to be CDMA but it also has to be on the same bandwidth(?) -- Verizon Wireless and SKT are but I don't know if Telus is as well - I'm guessing not because if it was then there'd be more people in Canada with Korean phones (I have not seen any Korean phones being used in Canada so far)

I asked my friend who works at Telus about Verizon phones and he said it probably won't work cause the phone has to be programmed for the certain service provider T^T how sad.

I got it as a present so I don't know how much it costs but a lot? You can use Korean phones anywhere Verizon Wireless has service since you use it with Verizon Wireless... It has English on it but I use it in Korean x)

i live in vancouver and i have a korean friend that sells cdma sky phones. he gets them imported to vancouver from korea. but for the bandwidth/network compatability, im not too sure of it. pm me if you want to know more.

OMG i have that phone too. rofl. it's pretty kick butt. ahaa it took me like an hour to get the stupid sky manager on my comp. it's a pain in the BUTT. but i dunno if they would have it over there. i thought they sold like everywhere O.o aha

that sidekick looking sky phone with touch screen & 3 mega pixel camera
i love it.

but yeah, i still havent figured out how to use it, i meam the program
to upload and download ringtones and stuffff
