Okay, so this has been bugging me for the last 2-3 years. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me on this!

There's an indie-ish group I heard a song from around 2-3 years ago, and I meant to check them out from there, but I forgot to when I got home, and soon it'd been several months and I couldn't remember their name anymore.

As I said they're an indie-ish group (don't know whether they're actually indie or not), from what I remember they were closer to pop/trance/house that whole area (whatever you'd call bands like crystal castles) than they were rock, unless I'm mistaken, and I don't remember any of the names of their songs unfortunately. What I do remember is that their band name essentially is two Japanese names, "_____ and ______" but they members of the group/band aren't actually Japanese. Anyone have any idea? Much appreciated!

I looked through all 10 pages of this thread but there's was no mention of them to my knowledge. I don't even know if I'd like them, I just heard the one song years ago and wanted to check them out but never have been able to because I couldn't remember what they were called!

Is it Fujiya & Miyagi?

Is it Asobi Seksu? that's the only band I could think of with a Japanese name...but they're not exactly like Crystal Castles.

Looooove Asobi Seksu. Nefi+Girly and Thursday are my favorites.

Does anybody here listen to School of Seven Bells? I am so in love with them right now. They are sort of reminiscent of Imogen Heap.

I dislike UK indie with a passion, possibly because I live in the UK and it's everywhere

I just got into Okkervil River recently...the guy's voice had to grow on me, but their lyrics are fantastic.

Would Flogging Molly be considered indie or mainstream?

Well, considering they're on SOD, which is independent as far as I know, they're probably the only one in this entire thread could actually be considered indie. But they're not UK so not really a band for this thread but whatever.
