Me neither. Hehe I thought it was only about K-Pop. And I don't even like K-Pop, my cousin made me join here. tongue.gif

My favorite...oooh gosh probably between Absolution and Origin of Symmetry. The song New Born is like the musical equivalent to sex. LOL. tongue.gif It's so thrilling!

haha i joined soompi cos i was into all this asian stuff. but then i discovered indie bands from the UK and US and Australia i couldn't get enough of them so now i practically live in the 'Other Music' section...

Anyone here like Sons & Daughters? They're a band from Glasgow and they play alternative/indie pop. I love love their song 'Gilt Complex' and 'Johnny Cash'. www.myspace.com/sonsanddaughters

Another band that I remember: Hundred reasons, the music and also moloko, man they have some quality stuff!

Tengosuds: where abouts in London are you from? Quite rare to hear a londoner on Soompi !

starlight24: well you gotta mix and match a little so you wont get bored which is why I listen to cpop and kpop.

petit_charat: never heard the band before, going to check them out now though.

The Music - cessation. best song from them..love it.

Blur is another one of my favourite bands. They've probably been mentioned in here before, but they're an awesome band. I like Oasis AND Blur haha... though, that feud between them, which was a little over 10 years ago was a bit.. stupid.
Anyway, Blur have some good songs, beetlebum being my favourite and then Song 2.. just cos it's such a fun song to jump around and dance to biggrin.gif

BUT, let us keep on discussing the brilliance that is UK music!

Anyone been to any gigs of UK bands lately?

oooh, how was seeing The Verve? that would've been pretty cool...

WOW, lucky you getting tickets for Radiohead. I only got really into them after hearing In Rainbows, because that album is bloody brilliant. But there's no word on when they're coming to Australia, but i'm sure the tickets will sell out in record time.

Yep yep, the Verve gig was amazing! Ashcroft smashed up two guitars lol rock on. I was lucky to get the tickets to see Radiohead, within a few hrs it was sold out.

Im sure they will start a world tour soon, just keep your eyes peeled and get in there quick!

Oh I manage to bump into Ken Hayakawa, the drummer from Violent delight a few weeks back, dont know if any of you guys heard of the band before. He was my mates friend and went for some sushi...really quality bloke! Drank saki bomb (loads) and stayed for hrs chatting random crap lol

Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, etc are all really fun indie bands to listen to. you can guarantee that they'll be at any indie disco night. but i love how they all sing in their accents, it makes it sound more original and not something that has been "americanized" like some other artists.
