I'm in the process of buying a new Mp3/Video player.

Here are few things I'm looking for:

Able to play different format of music and video files.
Great sound quality
30GB + of storage
Light in weight
3-4" display, nothing bigger.

Thanks in advance.

Cowon A2 -- it's like $350 for 30gb (and $300 for 20gb? something like that)... But it's not really thin.

From what I know from looking at previous reviews. The one mentioned above and the Creative Zen Vision: M.

The Vision: M is more of a mp3 player and the Cowon A2 is more of a portable media player. Vision: M is smaller than the cowon.

yeah i actually am thinkin the same thing as the thread starter!!! i really want a new mp3 player as my 1st gen 40GB ipod is reallly old and is starting to die on me>.<

everyone says that the creative vision:m players are good...what is it like vs. the video ipod? i want to be able to play videos as well as mp3s on it...and i desire GOOD BATTERY LIFE and HIGH STORAGE CAPACITY over anything else, haha...although a good music transferring system would be good [i liek how itunes works...i find it pretty easy] and...looking good=]=]

Well to answer both the topic starter and you. Like ive recommended to others, you both should try to get the Creative Zen Vision M. Battery life is a lot better then the ipod video, more audio/video formats are supported so less time converting stuff. Storage capacity is basically the same as the ipod videos . The transferring system is definately a lot beter then itunes as well, transferring is a breeze and send more then one mp3 at once unlike how itunes you have to individually send the mp3s one by one.

Creative Zen Vision: W (has both 30 & 60 gb)
Archos 604 (30 gb),
Archos 604 Wifi (30gb, browse online, check email, record from tv & dvd but u have to buy the dockings from the website),
Archos 704 Wifi (80+gb, basically like the 604 wifi but better)
Cowon A2 (30gig)
Cowon A3 (30gig) The 60gig is avail in U.S. around June.

First of all, all of these players are bulky. With that aside, they play music & videos and have replaceable batteries, unlike their older versions. Also, note that Archos has a crappy customer service, based on some of the CNet reviews that I've read. There are also some complaints about the sound quality from 604 & Zen Vision W. I'm not sure about the archos wifi's or the cowons though.
