I think both. There are some people in the entertainment industry who are only known for their looks. They are also some talented people in the industry who aren't so good looking.

7. Do you think the entertainment revolves around looks or talent? Why or why not?
Looks more, because first impression counts, and a plain jane would'nt stay in audience's mind, and therefore not marketable. If the entertainment industry is not after looks, just about anyone can be a celebrity, right? But good to say, increasingly entertainment requires one to have some talent (or street cred), to complement their looks.
In today's society if you like a celebrity for their looks alone, and that someone has no 'substance', its likely that people would laugh at you for being shallow. Its a big joke, really. Because we are obviously all after the prettier things in life.

Yes. The violin.
9. Would you prefer a pretty celebrity that sucks or a not so pretty celebrity that’s good?
A not so pretty celebrity thats good: quality lasts, looks can fade (and there are too many pretty people around that are vases, and are boring. ugly people are more exciting, because they always do things that you dont expect).
10. Do you prefer upbeat or slow-beat songs? Why?
Slow-beat. I prefer songs that are more mellow, and upbeat songs dont quite qualify most of the time.
11. What’s your idea of a celebrity?
Someone famous or infamous for either his/her talent or lifestyle. There are positive attributes that one could learn from from a celebrity, such as a celebrity's charitable personality, but often there are more negative attributes that you can learn from (learnt not to learn).
Mostly, i think of a celebrity as someone who does nothing but strut around under the public eye outside his proper job: his/her job scope includes having privacy intrude upon for the world to see.

-sorta, when I went for the choir of course. Frightened was exactly the description. I was unprepared as well so that doubles it *shudders*

- it's the way the society works. We can't blame people for having good looks and getting famous either. But I choose that talent will overcome looks, seriously. Those with looks only will succeed but not in a long period, only temporarily.

Yes, because unfortunately nowadays looks sell, not so much talent. Just look at Britney Spears and people like that and tell me that she would be that rich and famous and popular now if she weren't "hot" (I'm talking about before all the stuff that happened the past few years with the baby and K-Fed and whatnot. That's a different story)
The Korean industry is even worse (SM Entertainment continually blows my mind with their "practices") but I'm assuming this is about the industry in America...

The Korean industry is even worse (SM Entertainment continually blows my mind with their "practices") but I'm assuming this is about the industry in America...

yes. I felt accomplished because even though I didn't get the part I wanted in the school musical, I still got a main part.

talent because it's true that looks can get you anywhere, but talent can bring you far. Entertainment companies would want someone who's talented because that person can go a long way with what they can give for that company. Someone who looks good, but doesn't have talent is pretty much useless, so I don't think anyone would want to sign a person who can't do anything.

yes in high school i auditioned for choir as well as solo parts during choir performances. i also have auditioned in the past for dance troupes(a looong time ago)
the time leading up to the audition and right before i'd get nervous and anxious, but when in the actual audition, the nerves kind of went away and turned into adrenaline and it was fun, even when i didnt get the part i wanted, i was satisfied knowing i gave what i felt was my best performance, and it made me want to practice more.

LOOKS:Yes. as an entertainer, your looks should reflect your personal style as well as your chosen craft. as a singer, i think one should look pulled together and classy, yet also have their own 'POW' to it.
TALENT:YES. because no matter how much of a pretty face you are, or how much you get over on the public with your wit and charm, if you don't have the talent to back it up, it will be found out, and will be embarrassing.
