So 1h on the bike would be ok? cuz i'm doing it from like a month, but i don't see any difference..how times a week are u suggesting to do it?XD
(thank you!)

quality over quantity though. if you spend an hour on the gym for a month and you're not seeing any results, it's your intensity level. youre trying to lose weight right? so it might be your diet too. they go hand in hand, diet and exercise. as for biking, you can just even do like 30-40 minutes and all you have to do is raise the intensity level and you'll be good. good luck smile.gif

i would definitely alternate machines though because your body adapts to it. so switch up and switch around. do elliptical, treadmill, and or stairs. just alternate.

I would suggest riding a bike 3 times a week for 30 min to a hour. I noticed that the results took more time than weight training, but I did see good results after a month or two.

The other people are right too, exercise alone doesn't work nearly as much as exercise and diet. It's that whole synergy thing where 1+1 = 3. Also, if you don't break a sweat doing cardio, your not going to see much results.

This might have been asked before, but I can't look through all the pages here...

I'm not that fat, just a little bit chubby, so I've been on a [healthy] diet for a month now. Besides, I dance for about two hours three days per week. My problem is that my stomach and waist look thinner while the lower part of my body [hips, bottom and legs] don't seem to change.
Is there a way to get rid of the fat in that area? 'Cause nothing seems to work!

do you only wanna dance?.

hi
im 5'7 and around 63 kg, is this weight alright?
but my body fat % is really hight, around 26.3%

my IBM is 21 and my ideal IBM is 18/19

i don't really hv time to exercise but i do try to when i hv the time,
sometimes maybe twice a week..

is there any other way that i can lose body fat/weight without doing much workout?

any suggestions of healthy food that i can consume as a meal?
(besides the common ones like fruits, vege, oat, ect. , i tend to get hungry really fast when i eat these)

Hey, I completely agree with you. All those shakes, diet bars and cereals that we are suppose to eat here in the US just make me hungry real quick. I suggest instead of looking towards food that make you hungry all the time, to fill up on foods low in fat. That's probably the easiest way to lose weight without always being hungry. Vegetables, whole grain and fruits have added benefits, but if it's not your thing, theres no point forcing yourself.

Hey, I've got a question. I'm a girl and pretty young (10s) and I would say I'm average to a really teenieweenie bit overweight. I'm a total looser in sports lessons at school, I don't come up when doing any stomach muscle exercises... ^^ So, I wanna perhaps loose a little bit fat and build some muscles. esp in the stomach area and perhaps legs+arms. I'm not doing any diet but I eat healthy. (I don't wanna fat musculus legs or elsewhere man's huge muscles >.<) I just want to get over all a bit healthier because atm I do NO sport except riding the bike to school 20min a day... I can't do a long training session daily so could you tell me some exercises I could do everyday 5 to 10mins?
And when you tell me exercises, could you also tell me how to do them? Cause I know nothing about exercises^^
I just did some exercises we do at school, but I have like always neck pains. It's always so. What am I doing wrong????
Thank you! biggrin.gif:D

to lose stomach fat, you have to do cardio. that's like jumping rope, running, etc. biggrin.gif

you dont have to run for long periods as long as your intensity level is up there. i would say a good 30-45 min of cardio is good. and by that, i want to say start off at 4.3 for like 5 minutes, then 4.8 for another 5 minutes. then kick it up to like 5.3 on the treadmill level button. just increase your intensity level each week. make sure you sweat and so forth. ( i have to work on this myself sad.gif ) see you maybe be working out for 1 hr but not at an intensive level, so you wouldn't have as good of a workout as someone who works out less but it's more intense. quality over quantity biggrin.gif also, diet is essential. it goes hand in hand with your exercise. biggrin.gif good luck

any gym is good really. bally's is good, and so is 24 hour fitness, LA fitness. just depends on the rates and the equipments, but i think they have similar stuff everywhere. i'd pick a place close to home, so then you wouldn't have to go far to go work out.

i don't live in california. i've been looking at reviews of bally. it apparently sucks because of the contract. so a gym is a gym, right? it doesnt matter where i go, just as long as i''m actually working out.

So I've been trying to lose some weight around my lower stomach/abs and my arms (flabby part)!
I've been working out at the gym. I would usually do about 45 minutes of cardio at around speed 4-4.5, and do about 10-15 minutes of elliptical! I've also been doing simple arm exercises with 1 kg dumbells, but i dont know if the exercise i'm doing is something that would help my lose weight in the areas mentioned above! help, please? smile.gif THANKYOU!

you can do cardio everyday, as long as you increase your level of intensity each week. if that's what you want, then yes you can do cardio 3-5 times a week. and doesnt matter how long, it's how good of workout you have= sweating. and also alternate. treadmill, elliptical, etc. don't forget to incorporate strength training so you look toned too biggrin.gif

yes, just dont let them go crazy with the rates on you. but if it's a gym, and there's stuff you can work with, it should be good biggrin.gif

i wish i could answer you more precisely, fihe, i hope someone will come in and do so. yes cardio is a must indeed, and then crunches, theres variations, you can do hip flexers as well, and use some resistance like add weights when you do crunches, and side crunches. also the plank is very good for it too.

yes food is really hard. im going be vague cuz im learning about nutrition myself. but you want to fill up on lean protein like chicken and fish and lots of greens and moderate fruits. basically complex carbs, wheat bread brow rice. sweatingbullets.gif im sorry i cant go into details specifically yet.

youre doing cardio, so that's great. definitely add in crunches, planks and hip flexers too. as for the arms, yes use weights but increase it if you dont feel the burn in the muscles. it should help as you persist over time and increase weights too. remember form and you have to feel it burn biggrin.gif

im sorry im so noob at this. any help would be appreciated from watcher and Jon too and anyone else biggrin.gif
