yesterday i worked out my back but today my triceps are sore. is this supposed to happen or was i not doing back stuff ?
heres the stuff that i did

close grip pull downs three sets of 10
seated cable rows three sets of 10
lats pull down on the machine 3 sets of 10
single arm dumbell row 3 sets of 10
yet my triceps are sore maybe i did them incorrectly or is this supposed to happen

edit*
okay now i feel it in my back my shoulderblade area the most i guess its not really my triceps that hurt but maybe because its more along my upper lats ?

Mainly in this case you most likely have weak triceps so they are sore just by supporting your main muscles.

clean up your eating ~ run for 1-2 hours a day. stick to chicken or fish and other then that salad. no rice no pastries no junk no chips no juice ~ learn to eat.

ive been working out heaps, doing workout videos that employ strength training with cardio and my muscles are sooo sore. muscles i didnt even know i had a aching. (i can still move them, they just ache.)

should i keep doing the video everyday or should i rest? i dont want to stop exercising but i dont want to do more harm than good.

make time to rest at least 1-2 times a week you most likely should invest 2 days a week just to rest but that isn't an excuse to eat garbage.

I have slightly the same problem as Mani4ever, I injured my foot a few days ago and it hurts quite a bit.
I've been steadily losing weight and I'm scared that if I take a few days off my foot to let it heal, I'll gain back the weight that I had worked so hard to lose.

be scared if you splurge and pig out ~ if you eat clean salads chicken breast and fish youll be okay ~ stay far away from carbs if you aren't exercising.

Never under estimate the importance of rest ~ but if you are resting you didnt earn any carbs.

Cool! Okay my turn. haha
Age: 18
Female
Height: 5 2
Current Weight: 80lbs? Yes, I'm skinny.
Goal: Gain about 15 pounds over the summer (Is that possible?)

I'm very picky with food, maybe that's why it is hard for me to gain weight.

Any suggestions on how to gain weight? Like what type of weight lifting or exercises should I do? Thanks.

Find out what kind of foods you won't be picky about - GOOGLE OR BING.com CARBOHYDRATES and find what you do like.

Learn nutrition this forum isnt for you because you need to learn what you can eat base on your "pickiness" byeee!! good luck!

I usually run on the threadmill or use the crosstrainers... Unfortunately, the muscle in my back started hurting and my doctor says I can't exercise untill the pain disappears :'(
I wish to lose 3kg but I can't exercise (I'm doing some small and easy ones, like 8 min abs, etc)

aishh (_ _) I want to become slim, so can you guys recommend some work out where I don't put too much efforts on my back?

One more thing: I can see on my body, I'm getting a lot of muscles and becoming "buff" O.O, but I wish to become slim.. Can you guys give me some advice?

clean up your eating and put in more time with walking cardio elliptical stair mill.

how do i get more muscles on your pecs?
i dont want super hard vessel-bulging muscles, but more like somewhat soft but higher than my stomach.
im currently on my abs exercise only right now on a daily routine. it seems like its growing. i dont do any aerobics though. i just think i dont need them since im already way too skinny. im 120 pounds on 5"7. i really want to gain pecs and some arm. help?

(i cant go to the gym. i cant afford it. :[)

Hmm I'm sure if I read back far enough I'll find answers...but I'm too lazyyy
so...

Age: 19
Female
Height 5'2"
Weight 122-123lbs, but want to be around 105..

I swam for about 7 years but stopped 2 years ago, so my thighs and arms are pretty flabby...the fat on my stomach also folds over because i slouch too much and it looks disgusting >_> I havent been working out, but started going to the gym again (i went the past week or so) but I dont know what kinds of things i should be doing. I just wanna get rid of my fat and not gain any muscle, or only a little muscle. My calves are also pretty muscular but i wanna slim them down..whats a good exercise for that? Also, I would really prefer not to run..but if its the only way i will. So overall i really want to lose my belly flab, thigh flab, and arm flab, and slim down my calves...what should i do?

Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Human - Asian
Weight:67kg [Goal: 75-80kg]
Height: 179cm

Had a back injury halting my progress horrible from January till now. Been training since early 2008... Went from 62kg to 76kg before my injury.

Goals:
-To bench press 70 kg again
-To shoulder press 27.5kg per dumbell (before my max was 25kg for 8 reps - 3 sets)
-Dumbell curl 20-22.5kg (Previous was 20kg)
-30 pullups x 5 sets
-To be able to train legs and back again... but doubt I can do much soon as I'm still slowly recovering my back. It previously stuffed up the nerves on my right leg, so it will take quite a while to get back to decent fitness on the lower part of my body.

Supps: Protein, Creatine, BCAA, Beta Alanine, a bit of divanil and some 17 keto, anti-aromatase for lean mass, for now tongue.gif!
Diet: High protein, low carbs. E.g. 6 egg whites 1 yolk.
Training routine: 4 days on 3 off... around 1 hour on the weights and 45min cardio.

To be updated...

hehe old sig made when I was in high school back in 2006~

Hello! smile.gif

I'm new to soompi! Hehe xD

I've been wanting to lose weight n a few months ago i started swimming with my friend, bt its nt intense swimming, jst swimming a bit and then mucking abt in the water ^^

Bt I've gt some questions...
I've read that its better to eat 6 small meals everyday, 3-4 hrs apart, bt if your nt hungry and its time for ur next meal/snack, do u still eat it or just nt eat it until your hungry again?

And I'm planning on starting jogging nw since exams are over n its nearly summer, bt once you stop running and have lost weight, eating the same amount of calories as you did while runnning, would that mean you would gain the weight back?

the meals should be small enough that you get hungry in the next 3 hours.

at the moment i've been playing badminton, which usually gives girls alot of muscles in their thighs. I'm really afraid of that, it looks like thunder thighs :X But some of the girls i've seen have small thighs while others have HUGE thighs. how can i prevent that? or how do they prevent that?

and i also heard that, people who have fat thighs already get the fat turned into muscle, so if you have no fat it will be hard to build muscle?

I want to start exercising this summer. I'm not doing it to look good (as I'm thin already) but for health reasons. I've never really been one to exercise so I need something easy so I won't give up after a day or two. I get out of breath easily and I'm kind of weak :S Any suggestions?

Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 163cm / 5'4"
Current Weight: 114lbs
Goal Weight: 105lbs
Deadline: July 25th or earlier

My legs are pretty toned and muscular, except I have some fat on my thighs. For exercise, I do turbo jam (30-45 mins), jump roping (~300 times) and yoga (45 mins) everday. If I keep on doing those exercises, will my legs get bigger from muscle? If so, how can I make them slimmer?
Also, based on the exercise stated above, how long before I can see results (based on measurements). As far as eating goes, I eat ~1400 kcal/day. For breakfast, toast, eggs & milk. snack is a fruit of some sorts. lunch: sandwich or salad & juice. snack is nuts. and then dinner i eat rice, a little bit of meat and mostly veggies.

^ Yes it has!! I reccomend it x 10000 biggrin.gif
Try it! It's fun and it works happy.gif However, doesn't do much on the abs if you want to develop a lot of muscle.

Does jump roping and jogging helps to slim down my thighs?
Cause I really want slim thighs, my thighs now are like 21inches! Which I hate it! ):

What about stomach fats? Cause I'm thinking of going to swim every 2-3days a week..

hi there! i'm 18 years old and i feel that i'm a little bit above the normal weight that i should have right now. plus, i don't think my body is fit enough to be able to wear fitting clothes and it's quite embarrasing since i'm now turning into a lady. i'm not that big but i really hate to see my arms filled with fats. i wanted to tone it down so that i could wear clothes that are sleeveless without even getting insecure. plus, i have baby fats on my belly too and i get really insecure when i see girls with a flat stomach. can you recommend any exercises that focuses on toning down these two areas? it'll really be a great help. smile.gif
