I'm not sure if this question was already asked but how do you get rid of double chins? Are there any exercises that I can do?

^ Umm you can't just reduce or erase a double chin.
A double chin is a result of high body % fat so you have to
do cardio and eat RIGHT to burn the fat.

OK, so I've been trying to gain weight and muscle this summer. I happen to be on my high school baseball team and this season I was about 5'8.5'' and 135 lbs which is absolutely terrible laugh.gif (i was in fact the skinniest guy on the team...). As a pitcher my velocity sat around 66 MPH.

My goals are:
1. gain velocity
2. gain muscle
3. gain weight

so far this summer I think I've made good progress in 6 weeks time with my 5 day a week strength program (if necessary i'll go into specifics as to what i do, but not now)...I've grown half an inch and have gained 15 lbs making me 5'9" and 150 lbs..I've also gained velocity, now I sit at around 71-72 mph and top out at 74 on good days which is a definite plus smile.gif

However I am still quite lanky (though not like I was during the season), and I most likely still have room to bulk up.

Well, my primary question is this: Would you recommend the product listed here?
http://www.affordablesupplements.com/gainer_whey_protein.asp it's pretty inexpensive for a 6 lb jar ohmy.gif

and can anyone answer the age old question of whether weight-lifting will stunt growth?

thanks. smile.gif

is it good to workout and then do cardio afterwards? cuz i'm just trying tone up and lose all the fat the same time. I have been eating right getting enough protein, less carbs, and not eating junk food, sweets and all that good stuff hahaha.

I heard a long time ago that that there is no such thing as 'toned" muscle when it comes to body building. However, I can clearly see the difference between a bulky man and a man with small compact muscle with definition. Can you tell me the difference between these two and how to achieve the latter?

Besides having low body fat, how should I work my muscles? High rep and low sets with light weights?

here's a question i never really get a strong answer to..but here it goes : I like working out and going to the gym and stuff, but i really don't wanna get big and huge. Right now im around 132lbs, male, 5"9'. So how can i continue enjoying the gym without looking like the Hulk at some point?

So far i've heard keep reps high with low weight, do quick reps at high weight, increase weight veeery slowly etc...

I have trouble gaining weight. I eat ALOTTTT and I mean it. I have been 120-135 pounds for who knows how long. maybe 2+years now. Is there a definate way of helping me gain alot of weight? I'm planning to hit 150! im about 5'10 right now and about 125 pounds .. I only gave u estimate because my scare is kinda broken

I was thinking, if I cant gain weight, can I just be super fit? like really cut up? Will it look kinda weird if I get big in all aspects of my body? Also, I use to have some really nice abs but its kinda gone but u can still see it except they are not rock hard and in shape anymore, Can I get some expert tips and excercises from a trainer?

My right arm is probably almost 2x bigger and stronger then my left arm but I started curling the same weight on both arms when I first started along time ago.. Why is that so? Should I just work on the left arm now?

Thanks for your time. I appriciate it.

-Alex

heys ^^ wow it's really great u can do this for everyone (mostly girls anyway)

well i'm 160cms? and at a BMI of 21.5 it's alright an all but i wanna loose 5-7kgs to become around a BMI of 19?

and yeah i walk to school sometimes when i get the change and it's about a 45 min walk? but my walks are like power walks coz im just so used to the tension in my legs and it feels good ahaha. and like i've been upset abbut some friends stuff and the last too days is didn't eat much at all.

Day before was an apple and my bf got me a burger at McDonalds coz he wanted me to eat.
Today i only ate 2 shushi's 2 apples and like a lolly and since i'm so hungry atm i went to eat a bowl of cereal and eating another sushi.

is it bad? it's different from my usual diet because i just bring myself to eat.

and i was wondering what can i do to trim my thighs, arms, and stomach with out going to the gym as it's quite expensive $^$

Thanks!!

I've seen you have mentioned many times about a strict diet. What do you mean by a strict diet?

Hi Jon! First of all, I really want to say thank you for taking time to help out everyone with their questions. Since I'm currently trying to lose 25 pounds, I might become a regular poster in this thread and ask you lots of questions. tongue.gif

Info:
female
5'10"
Asian
21 years old
Starting weight (late june): 173 pounds
Current weight: 162 pounds
Goal weight: 137 pounds
Diet: no pork or beef, no fast food, no soda, no ice cream, nothing from the bakery although I have a sweet tooth
lots of fruits and veggies, green tea 2 times a day, some soymilk, yogurt, wheat bread, and chicken. usually 1 omelet with tomatoe, chicken, and cheese for breakfast and a salad with tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, and grilled chicken, and dressing at 5 pm. All other small meals varies.
Exercise: gym 5 days a week, some days twices a day, usually 1 hour each, always include 30 minutes of jogging/powerwalking. Started yoga as well.

Starting late June, I began working out a lot more and being a lot more careful with my diet and lost that first 10 pounds. However, the past 3 weeks, I haven't lost any weight at all. I've increased my workout and nothing has changed. Some days, I'm at the gym twice for 1 hour each. Sometimes I keep record of what I ate and it's usually between 1300-1700 calories. There are days I have to eat at a resturant and it's just harder to make healthier choices or keep better record, so calories may be a bit higher. Usually I eat like every 3 hours, small meals. I'm not satisfied with my current weight...so how do it continue my weight loss?

I also have another question. I really want to slim down my legs, as in lose the fat but not gain muscle. My upper body is really small, I usually wear a size small/medium depending on shirts, but wear jeans that are size 8 or 10 depending. I do a lot cardio but slimming down overall doesn't really help with my legs. I'm afraid building muscle will make them bulky. What else can I do to help slim them?

Need your advice! Thanks in advance! smile.gif

Change up your routine.

Your body has gotten used to it.

Also be aware of what you're eating.
