when i went to a hair salon in HK, the guy also used regular scissors for the usual thinning and layering, was pretty cool.

For thinning at home, take it easy the first few times...maybe start
by taking clumps of hair and snipping once near the tip, and then snipping
again right at the end...i remember the first time i just went wild on
the bottom of the clump..not good! lol

snipping once near the tip and then right at the end... tip and end... aren't they the same? so is it snipping twice in the same place? or would it be better snipping once near the root and then halfway to the tips... don't know...

I have the thinning shears, now I will need the courage... and of course, i need the hair (I'll wait some time)

i mean like dont attack the roots..umm how can i say this..
like cut first about an inch or two from the tip, then snip closer to
the tip...

unless you really want to thin out at the root...just for me, im
way to scared to mess around lol

i think its better to thin it out first and then layer.
thinning does shorten your hair (since strands are getting cut off either way), its safer to thin it out first and then layer it to get approx length.
but i dont think it really matters laugh.gif

i've seen professional haircutters thin with regular scissors, they hold them vertically and start cutting really fast (haha i wouldnt suggest people doing this on their own cause its pretty dangerous )

lol honestly..... i think thinning ur hair that way is easier and better looking but just takes a little bit more time
i dont see it as dangerous though O_O just dont do that to the back part of ur own hair where u cant see =P
but other than that everythings fine lol dnno why ppl would say its dangerous though.... u just need to stay away from your fingers thats all =P
cutting ur bangs like this is the best way to cut ur bangs btw~ it gives you more control =P

hahahaha thats lee sang jun =P AKA LSJ~
he is actually a wig model.................. =P
and in this picture..... it seems like you MIGHT need a hair straightener if ur hair doesnt grow little wavy like his~ u can tell on the sides and bottom back that his hair waves a bit~
so if ur hair is too curly~ get a straightener to straighten it till u get this right look...... and same as if u have pin straight hair =P

so how long does hair has to be for it to be thinned... a minimum... any idea?

oh, and one more question, anyone knows how to do teasing? man, I know it's just backcombing and spraying the roots... but my results are so "unclean" and even though the roots may be standing the rest of the hair falls like a palm tree..

you have to straighten the sides if your hair is curled a bit
its basically the only way to guarantee them to be straight
if you just use wax and dont straighten you wont get the same results
straight sides= straighen them

alright doods imma need some suggestions

im really feeling TOPs [again lol] new hairstyle

pic source: asianfanatics.net

i mean i wanna do it but the thing is i havent gone that short ever since 2 years ago. ive also gone that short, or even shorter before and it didnt look that great. but then again it was close to bald plus it was a fade. lol. i was thinkin doin it but not cutting it AS short as TOP and if i like...then i can tell my stylist to go ahead and cut it shorter.

neways what do you guys think. should i try it? would it good on me?

thing is ive been wearing hats lately and rarely fix my hair now a days. i think thats what lead me to this decision.

i dont think ill get it anytime soon but i danno im thinkin about it...
feel free to follow me @
