i put my sides over the glasses frame. if it goes under, the glasses don't fit. Note that they're plastic frames though. yeh, i find once i take them off, my sides stick out a bit, can't do anything about it though.

question for anyone who wears glasses: what do you do with your sideburns?
what i mean is, does your hair go over the glasses temples or under them?

my sides arent too thick or long (yet), but i can never seem to get my sides to not look flattened or sticking out 'cause of my glasses.

thanks.

My hair goes over the glasses, its more comfy this way, or else my hair will keep tickling my temples. sleep.gif

To give it the flattened look, try using a hair straightener. ^^

a questions about the sides... it seems to me that most asians have no sideburns, I mean, no facial hair. At least not most of them or those I see with the coolest hairstyles. Don't know, but well. It seems that the hair on the sides is just that, hair that grows from the head to the sides, and not sideburns (hair actually growing from the face, if you know what I mean... oh gosh, so hard to explain). So, if I actually have facial hair, what am I supposed to do. I mean, I could grow sideburns like Elvis Presley LoL... of course I won't, but if I want that asian side look... what should I do. Just shave it all and let the hair grow from the top part? or shave it in "triangle" shape and let the hair just go over it... ???

Facial hair is more rough and thicker. If you grow it out it'll start ti curl a little bit, and you'll end up with bushy sideburns. blink.gif

he just said that.

ognistik - i had the same problem as you. Just shave everything except for the sides and let it grow down. I wouldn't make self made triangles though. let the stylist do it for you.

It's mostly the type of cut you get. If you don't have a nice stylist to do the specific cut (thin hair + layers), it won't turn out right!

oh thanks for answering... d0wne and yuwing...
...

Pogichinoy, did you take a reference picture to get that hair? It's awesome, you should make a tutorial or something dude...
...

about the cut with Thinning + Layers, that's what I've read the most in this thread. You want a nice haircut? Get it thinned and layered... yeah, but every thinning and layering may be different. Just look at the variety of styles in this thread or bombhead or wherever, yes, they are layered and thinned but there's much more detail into it. What I mean is that you don't just go to the salon and say: please, layer it and make it thin... and you'll have the hair you dream of... there's much more to say, but I have no idea of what...

i alluded to this fact before, but have you noticed all the guys who have nice hair here (ie. tonyc402 comes to mind...mrbamboo88, along with others--sorry cant remember names crazy.gif) and the celebs, say on the first page of this thread, have either treated--ie. dyed/permed/etc hair (with the exception of a few, who probably have softer hair natually)??? well, i think, along with the thinning and layering cut from a good stylist, you need to get that sorta treatment too. ie. damaged hair is way better for styling than those with natural, untreated hair. this guy i knew, he had his hair treated (not sure what it was...a perm???), and his hair was wayyy softer than before, like silk soft...it was really quite amazing. he was from hk too, so he needed that sorta treatment to get those hairstyles popular in hk. so, all in all, trying to mold wire-y hair isnt gonna work on its own unless you change the hair chemistry. ph34r.gif

hope that helps, but, thats my just understanding of the whole thing so far. feel free to debate.

I use 4 hair products (anti frizz balm, wax, fiber and hair spray), plus of course a hair dryer and straightener. My last hair cut was about 6 weeks ago, and they cut it pretty short back then.

You can't precisely gauge how long hair grows as its different for each person, for their hair grows at a different rate and also grows in a different direction.

I'll have a tute up, I'm too lazy to do a video because styling my hair in the morning takes about 20 mins.

No I didn't take a reference picture, I simply tell the stylist how I want my hair to be cut, because in previous occasions, when I pointed out a picture in a hair magazine, it never ends up exactly how it is in the pic. My hair is retarded.

WOAH you beat me to it, I came out of the washroom and notice how much easiyer it is to style after I got my hair dyed. But why does it make it easyier? Well because the main reason why your hair may be hard to style in the first place is because it is too thick or your scalp produces too much oil. The oil breaks the bond between wax/clay/gel and etc. The dyed hair is stripped out of it's oil, making it much easyier to style since there are no oil to break the bond betweens the strands of hair and the hair product. yeah guys..go damaged your hair!!!!
