Oh, so you use those kinda scissors? My friend has a pair and I've been thinking of trying it out. My hair has grown out long enough and I haven't cut it for about 5-6 months (cause it was really short).

I think I'm gonna do it myself now. I tried last time, but it failed. tongue.gif I'll try again.

yupp XD the scissors are really helpful!.. but then since my over 1 year of cutting my hair.. i messed up a lot when i started
so i learned from experience.. and i just cut it well now o_o i dunnoXD i gues si just got better haha =P.. experience is the best way to learn XD just dont start cutting your own hair and experimenting before an important date XD haha

QUOTE (aznhybrid @ Jan 10 2008, 03:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
well for me i find it much easier to thin using a razor comb than the scissors
but thats just how i feel

really?? XD i find i go too crazy with the thinning razor =P i prefer the scissors.. plus the thinning razor is more damaging to your hair .___.

^ you'll probably need to thin and layer it, and then remember to style it everyday to look good. If you don't have the proper face shape, it probably won't fit you.

Question, when you go to a salon and ask them to layer it and thin it, do you need to be specific with it(layer length?) or is it more of a general thing?

I am curious about this too, going to get my hair thinned/layered for the first time in a few days. smile.gif Oh yea, do you normally get the sideburns cut or just thinned also?

How do you cut and style the back of your hair?
Pogi mentioned a few pages back it looks pretty naked..and i agree lol

I usually apply the gatsby air rise and then spikey edge, and generally teasing it up. But after maybe 5 minutes it just goes flat again. I am thinking its the way my hair is cut, and maybe not thinned out enough?
Is the back of your hair supposed to be thinned out?

^ yes if your hair is not cut correctly it will not be easy to do teasing. I find that teasing is very easy when you have the right cut which means the thining of your hair by a good stylist. Ever since i had a good stylist cut my hair i can tease my hair and get that volume spike look without any effort.

Absolutely. Pay some cash for a real stylist.

I would suggest to never cut your own hair or thin/layer it. you'll get to your hair goal faster without any roadblocks/accidental damages/bad hair for a few months.

really? i havent thinned my hair in a while so its getting pretty thick.. but i can still get a crazy spikey head (if i wanted to ) i use purple gatsby tho (straightening before helps)

but yeah its easier if its thinned out more =P haha and layered

When you said layered hair...Do you said that, when you go cut your hair, you need to said to the stylist to layered all the hair OR just layered some parts?

Do some people just layered the bangs and the sidebangs OR they all layered the hair, include the back and the side part of the hair?

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have pictures of grey colored hair?
I fell in love with that color some weeks ago, and i keep thinking bout it.

A friend told me that i will have to do the whitening? (sp) like 5 times, and i will have to wait like one week between each.

Is anyone be kindly enough to post some pictures of it? i've been seeking it for more that 5 or 6 hours but can't put my hand on it. Thank you!

I add some pic of me if that might help someone ^^

PS: By grey hair, i mean with average haircut, somehow similar as mine ^^ thanks!
