Hey felllow vain brothers ;D

haha. anyway, I've recently been discouraged to NOT get my hair rebonded(perm straight). My friend was explaining how her other friend got it perm straightened, and how horribly unhealthy it looked. She says she still had to straighten it with a flat iron, despite having it rebonded, thus extending the damage.
but im seriously tired of straightening mine with a flat iron.
I have naturally THICK and curly hair.. so it takes about 2 hours! =_=
a lot of people tell me, theyve never seen an asian with my kind of hair. and im just like. BLEH xP
I thank my Filipino side. -___-

but yea. I'm tired of this messy unruly hair. but im also scared that it might turn out for worse in the long run.

so.. im just wondering has anyone had a similar situation as mine? are you using any specific products to maintain your hair so it doesnt look so dry?

heres whats its like now:

and heres what I was able to pull off in the past..

First time straightened:

Then I got it trimmed, but for some reason the sides became stubborn:

Yea sorry, these are all myspace pics. xD
but yeaaaa.. help would be greatly appreciated!
hair style suggestions would be also! biggrin.gif

well, to be honest i dont remember lol, the last time i got it cut by someone was last year maybe in april...
since then i've just been cutting it myself. I think i just asked for layers and thinning, as most people
here have mentioned, and i brought a pic with me. The one from bombhead that was posted here
many pages ago, a dude with yellow hair wearing a black/yellow jacket..if that rings a bell??? lol

Kokonut - Thanks! i feel kinda like i cheated though, should'of uploaded the trial & (mostly) error

lol i like the straightened look better
the damage after a straight perm really depends on your hair and how well you maintain it
plus, you could always cut or give it a trim if it really does become damaged

Just a quick question. What exactly is layering? Is it cutting your hair in different layers with different lenghts? If so does it matter of the outer layer is shorter or longer than the inner layer?

duk: god you have awesome hair dude. How long does it take for you to do you hair? And how exactly do you cut your hair yourself?

just wondering any suggestions about my hair now?? maybe style it in a different way? i don't know, i kinda just take some product and rub it
in my head as if i'm washing my hair and it turns out like that, hehe.
Also any tips when it starts to get like longer but not actually long... like the in between growing out stage, any advice on how to tame it when
ur trying to grow it longer again??
thanks in advance smile.gif

Holy crap.
You look a bazillion times better with STRAIGHT hair :x
The curly hair does not fit you and made your face look chubbier than it actually is.
I think with straight hair, its more stylish definitely ^^
AND to keep hair from being dry, make sure to use conditioner or revitalizing conditioner from Pantene.

ya, about hairspray. i was wondering do u squeeze the nozzle all the way down so the spray comes out fast and hardcore, or do u lightly squeeze so it doesnt come out so fast and flatten out ur hairs... cuz if i squeeze it lightly,,, it leaks.

^if its flattening your hair then you have it way too close to your head.

^sorry, offtopic but you have really nice skin lol

but yeah, due to the shortness of your hair your styling options are quite limited

i'm interested in getting this hairstyle,

is the guy's hair layered? and how about his sides and fringe? i know i can bring the pic to the salon and tell the hairdresser to cut it like that, but i wanna know specifically how the hairstyle is created.

not too long really, about 20mins in the morning. As for the cutting, i mainly thin out when needed, and trim a little
here and there. Its hard to explain and i dont think i could ever do it on someone else's hair, just that i know my own
hair well enough, like if one day im trying to style it and its giving me trouble, ill see if i can trim it down or something
idk lol
