Arrrggg....why can't I do my hair like everyone else. It looks so ugly. Any pointers guys? I'm using the green Gatsby.

Could you post a picture of the hair "everybody else" has so we can have something to go off of?

From my perspective, you need a haircut. It seems too long, and even maybe too thin (perhaps you are using too much product in hair too- making your hair too clumped).
still pulling on doors when pushing is required.

do u no how i can style my short hair?

You probably cant, since its all the same length and its so short on the other hand u can enjoy maintenance free hair and the free time ull have from not haveng to style your hair.

EDIT:

Will post video soon.

You're using the wrong wax, the green gatsby has low hold, u can try purple for your hair length or grey. You might want to have a cut first, or thin or layer but i cant help u that much on that.

yeah i agree with the above poster. you need to get the cut before u can get the style. the proper cut goes a longggg way. good luck.

Your hair right now... i'm not sure how it is when it's without products. but the sides are too thick, the top is unusually thin and long, and it looks too greasy. You also need practice because your hair looks like an unkempt jungle.

I wonder if any of you can help me with this...
2 weeks ago, i went to go get my hair cut cause it was getting way too thick and just looked like nothingness.
So i get the cut, and i like it, take a picture to show my friends.

Except now...I'm having trouble gettting it to look like that again.
i cant get the top of it to stick up in that way where it looks kinda fluffy.
I'm also having a lot of trouble getting the layers to stay visible like the bottom right picture.
And my bangs refuse to stay in many thing "spikes". they end up a huge ass clump by the end of the day >_>

When i come out of the shower, i towel dry my hair, just a quick scrub all over to get the excess water off.
Then while i have the towel in my hand, i pull upward on the back areas to try to get them to stay up a bit.
after that, i use a blowdryer (cold air) and pull out a layer of hair while blow drying it from root to tip.
I use gatsby green after, a little spread around in my palms and finger tips, and try (in vain) to get the fluffy look at the top.
It doesn't go accordingly...so i use gatsby purple to make random spikes everywhere in an attempt to mask the uglyness >_>

Any advice? this is driving me insaneee ._.

Feel free to drop by and chat =]

tony how long did you leave it on? 20 min? i made the mistake of leaving it on for 35 min... cause my gf said she it need to be longer... i know in the picture it doesnt seem that brown, but under proper lighting, it looks like a dead faded brown cause i left it on for tooooo long.

btw i have 2 of these gatsby ash brown hair dye if anyone need them just send me a pm. since i dont think im going to keep it.

wow 35 lol x.x actually ash brown i was told is for people who have a like red pigment in their hair, like asian hair is mostly black or extremely dark brown so there usally isnt a need to get "ash" but i think the color looks good : )

tbkonwso: It looks great to me! You can always get a rich brown color that doesnt have bleach in it to try and richen/saturate the shade.
just started a 411! plz check it out!

Making it poofy is one thing, But i just need it to kinda float up a tiny bit.
My stylist didn't make me go upside down...i cant imagine that's it. Plus upsidedown creates a larger total volume look, makes my entire head swell up =o

Anybody tried putting warm olive oil in their hair to make it more healthy? It's supposed to help if you have really dry or damaged hair from coloring or heating.

i dont think that you should ever straighten when your hair is still wet...
kuz it causes even more damage LOL
so yeah, blowdry it first

Personally, I towel dry then blow dry then straighten.

Alternatively, you can straighten using a specialised wet to straight, straightener. This is more convenient.

I think I left it for 20-25 minutes . Mine could be brighter because I had dye from last summer partly still on but most of my new hair grew out during the time so that is another thing.
