Ah, looks like I'll have to put off cutting my sideburns then.

Does anyone have any recommendations for haircuts that don't require any gel/major effort? Right now, I just ask the lady to layer it as much as she can, but when it grows longer, it sort of flattens out.

that's when you get it cut again?

Yep. I usually just wait until my hair gets really long, then I just cut it short and start over. Maybe instead of just "restarting" every haircut, I should get more trims?

lol, I'm just bored with his hairstyle hahaha, it's hot and all. Just old
Well he could go for a new look and not match it at all, maybe it's better off this way.

Has anyone here actually left their hair really long and layered it and such?

Thanks. My real colour is probably in between those two pics because I had the light on for the first pic and the light off for the 2nd pic.
But I want to dye it dark brown next time I go for a haircut.

I managed to get better quality out of my webcam. I was wondering if some guys out there have any suggestions for what I should do to my hair, every time my gel/wax dries out of my hair, i get this afro-looking thing going, and it doesn't go so well when I feel like not styling, meaning that I have to style up when I REALLY don't want to.

So, for the pics...

Anyone know of a style that would still look alright, even without styling.
P.S. I'm using LION F-500 Hard Hold gel right now, I'll shell for something wax (maybe Gatsby) at some other time.
The time it takes for me to look at you is the time it takes for me to realize it's too late.

Long time...lurker sweatingbullets.gif of this awesome thread.

Anyways, I need help choosing between the Pink and Purple Gatsby Moving Rubbers. The Pink has a hold of 5/5 and shine of 1/5, but its for short hair while the Purple has a hold of 4.5/5 and a shine of 2/5 and is for short-medium hair. My hair length is medium. Yeah the .5 difference in hold and 1 difference in shine isn't a big deal, but its bothering me. I kinda want to go with the Pink, but the site says its for short hair and my style is more similar to what the Purple guy has (maybe I just got my answer there xD)

Until now I've used a couple of different waxes, but the one I use the most frequent is Alterna Hemp Seed Hair Concrete.
It's nearly the perfect product for me
* An ultra hard hold, matte-finish, clay wax for extreme styling
* Contains natural clay for an ultra dry matte finish
BUT the downside is that it's kinda hard to style with. Then I saw Gatsby which seems like it spreads easier, spikes better, and has a strong hold.

Edit: added pics to make my post understandable xD

it works fine for short hairs but for longer hairs... straightener is the way to go

if your hair is super straight+fine you don't need one but the rest of us usually do.

Unless your hair is naturally straight then it is. My hair is naturally straight so i RARELY even have to straighten it to do styles.
