QUICK EDIT TO ALL THE ASIANS:

DON'T USE GEL LOL. That stuff was cool like 5 years ago, you know the whole Dep gel. Now its disgusting. It makes your hair hard, and the spikes come out disgustingly seperated. Not to mention when you sweat it comes down all nasty.

Ugh, I can't agree more. I know this guy that gels his bangs and it looks horrible.

Hey Drastics...

I was thinking about going to Hairmates.

Who's a good stylist there?

Where's the place in Chinatown to buy Gatsby products? Sunrise doesn't have the full line and I've been using the Pink Moving Rubber...I want to try out the grey.

To be honest, they're all good. Try Kino or Tammy. As for the Gatsby wax, I don't know the name of the store. It's right on Canal st though, its just a small ass pharmacy. Where'd you buy your grey one? I bought 2 orange ones, not as good as the blue ones.

Last time I went to Sunrise they only had the pink and purple! I was looking for the grey.

I haven't cut my hair in a few months so 65 for everything isn't really that bad.

How long would you wait until to thin/cut your hair again? Or would hair still look good after a while because of the layering?

Xtah and Gatsby is for different people really. I prefer Gatsby just cuz I have thin and light hair and the wax isnt is rough as others. Plus I think Xtah kinda smells bad vicx.gif

tonyc402 do you have any pics of your hair? it look nice in the avatar biggrin.gif

You could also use the comb with the knife inside. I use it myself, and create my own layers with the comb.

yea
i use a razor comb to help keep my layers nice
but i would still go for a nice cut

i need to find a nice place in austin,tx to get my hair cut

I've bought a lot of fashion magazines while I was in Japan and today I've scanned some haircuts or things you could do with your hair for guys.

Hope it can be of any use. ^^

You're not going to get a celeb hair by going to some random 10 dollar haircut place.

personally i think the price of a hair cut is overrated, second, chances are you'll never get a good celeb hair cut, simply coz these guys have professional hair dudes doing their hair every morning.

so just settle for something that is economical and decent.

i finally got and tried that thinning scissors and i must say that it works wonders
though i have to cover up some parts that i cut a bit short. tongue.gif but its all cool
hair is much easier to style and it doesn't look as thick. cool.gif

So I was looking around...

Looks like "urufu hea" is the Japanese term for these kinda hairstyles? translated to as "wolf hair"

so I guess if I go to hairmates I can tell them...urufu hea ... thin and layer... and get the style I want? hahaha

Don't want to offend you or anything, just givin an input since we're all here for hair....

Theres something weird about your spikes, which I think is the way it was cut.

It doesn't look like it was cut well (don't know the haircut terminology/lingo), but it they didn't cut it from a "vertical" angle, just grabbed a bunch of hair and cut it horizontally.
