maybe i should start selling Gatsby moving rubber here on soompi...

what colors are the most popular?

cool. tell me/us when and if you open up shop laugh.gif. from what ive seen, seems like grey, green, purple are the most popular. its like 15-20$ a pop where i am and some of the others who sell on soompi are a little on the pricey side.

Is it a bad idea to bleach your hair and then re-dye it black just to get the damaged hair needed for the style?

if you want to damage your hair, i think perm solution works too. and no your hair wont curl from just the solution alone. i dont recommend it tho

could use cheap styling shampoo too. so it cleans your hair without adding nutrients lol. it use to use Vive Styling infusion (by O'real i think). the cut is what matters the most. if you have a good cut, its easier. all i do it dry my hair, rub a very thin layer of wax on my hands then just scratch my head like i have a really bad itch n it comes out like that in 1 minute. but when i get a cut, im in the chair for about an hour (mens hair cut)

i think its better to get a good cut because that way, you dont get the greasy shiny look from applying too much hair products.

i use redken maneuver. after about a month of growing, its not possible to style my hair like that cuz itll want to fall back down =( so i do my hair differently after a month lol (i get cut once every 3 months to cut cost ;_;)

Does anyone with lower-neck length hair also get this annoying problem with the hairs on the back of your head, lifting up? During the day, the lower end just starts to curl in, making this weird ass bulge back there...I think it's cause the ends of the hair hit the back of my neck and get pushed in or something, I have no idea but it happens to me all the time...

I'll draw a picture later if you guys can't visualize it. But for those who do understand, how do you prevent it rofl.

o crap i remember this, i HATED it, so i straighten it lol. it pretty much works BUT i only got a straightener when my back hair was longer than 2 or 3 inches so ionno how it'll effect short hair or if it'll work at all. o yeah if i sweat a lot and it gets in my hair it's as if i never straightened it at all and curls like no other again. o yeah a permanent solution would be to perm it straight, if u do just that section should cost like maybe 20 or 30 bux? shop around and see, but once u get a haircut, it'll be back.

about damaged hair, yeah i agree, u can do a lot with it once it's damaged like that... i specifically remember Final Fantasy Advent Children, Cloud's hair i remember thinking "wow.. that's some really damaged mini cooper!" although it was computer animated they animated how damaged his hair was lol. but it's really hard to wash once it's like that, i bleached my head in high school and showers were a daily ordeal cuz my fingers wouldn't go through my hair when wet and this was when i didn't even have that long of hair so if you're gonna damage it, be prepared!

for the guy who wants to sell and the other guy who wants to buy, cost is like 10 or 11 bux on ebay, dunno where ur shopping o_O and sell the colours green and grey, i have grey already and i'm almost out and i wanna try green, but in terms of most popular... guess u'd have to sell them all and see

but irrelavent to everything i've said i've got a question, u know how girls tease their hair? would a guy be able to do that? i read this guide online where u take hair, and a comb, and run the comb back to the head then hairspray it and u get massive volume that u can control, short of damaging my hair (which i don't want to do) is this the best way for control? o yeah and what the best hair spray product available? i HATE hairspray but i'm sick and tired of redoing my hair every 10 minutes because it falls back down with wax alone, hairspray hates me too cuz it always appears as white dots on my hair so what's got awesome hold, but doesn't really hold so hair looks natural and flowy but doesn't create white dots? thx!

Yeah it was like a spur of the moment type of deal. I got a lot of attention but gave people thewrong idea. People thought i was a foreign exchange student who didnt speak english. AWKWARD. The cool thing is when its bleached its a lot easier to texturize.

haha yea
un damaged hair is so hard to style
it just doesnt like to be texturized or put up

I been hearing alot of you using hair straighteners to get hair flat on the sides. Which ones do you guys recommend in terms of brand and type, and with a good price range? I did some research and saw they have a wet-to-dry straightener (nice) and was wondering if those ones are good. Also, does your hair have to be a certain length in order to use it properly? If your hair is shorter, is it harder to use or does it even matter? Thanks.

um i use a straightener
and in my experience i woudl say dont use a wet to dry one, i think they make more dmg, just blow dry and use a regular starightener
as for the brand and type.. its up to you
i use a vidal sassoon tourmaline ceramic straightener. and im happy with it
and you can straighten hair at any length almost, but the shorter it is, the more likely you will burn yourself! haha

for shorter hair is it better to use a smaller hair straightener (1 inch or below) or does it not matter. And what's the average time it takes to straighten short/medium length hair?

Oh thanks apparition. I got mines from ebay before buying it from anyone here first. Did you buy it from "hereosprojects" because he sells each for 1 dollar plus 10 bucks with shipping.

And thanks to japanese word person, he would be my second choice since I would save 5 bucks if I bought it on ebay if I do the math, though Im not to sure if I should trust that person I bought it from because he has like a 98.2 percent rating.

Oh yeah and I think kokonut was the one who said they sell it in L.A no. I would buy it there if I lived in California =x

well i wont recommend damage hair. mainly because, youll probably lose hair over it. youll get knots and everytime you comb your hair, strains will fall out. damage hair isnt really needed, it just makes it easier.

the cut is what is basically needed. if you can find a good asian stylist, just bring in a picture and theyll cut it for you. n i dont mean those $10 buzz cut shops either =(. in seattle, id recommend VAIN in belltown or Salon Juno in the international district. itll probably cost around $30 for a cut like that

just use head n shoulders for an extended period and your hair will go from healthy to dry lol

i bought and tried that. once. using it was alright but i found it kinda oily for my taste, plus after i took a shower apparently it didn't completely shower away and it gave me a headache, yeah i know it sounds weird but it did, had to shampoo my hair twice to get rid of it completely. however my roommate uses it so i gave it to him lol. he's got thin hair tho so i guess it would work for him
