About Ucd And Uw... maybe its too early to think about this

so..i'm in my sophomore year of highschool right now, but i'm already thinking about college and everything and people tell me that it's too early to think about this stuff but yea who cares. anyways...i really wanna get into davis or university of washington, but my grades arnt that good. If I raise my grade junior and senior year to 3.5+ will they still accept me even though my freshman and sophmore year grades arn't that good?

and what the minimun gpa and sat scores do you need to get into those schools?

oh, and i heard that uc irvine and uc riverside are easy schools to get into. is that true?

ok fine, my overall gpa is a 2.8...seee. thats hecka low..

im a sophomore too! yay! i think about college ever so often(: but i think that's good thought...anyways...um...since im not really sure about your grades...i dont knoe if you could get into those schools....it also depends are extracurricular, volunteer, etc. & from what i knoe, sophomore grades are pretty important, i believe that colleges mainly focus on sophomore and junior grades + senior year classes...well, anyways, hopefully you get into those schools (: goodluck~

Let's just say I have a 3.6 weighted GPA, 80 hours of community service, tennis, and some AP classes and Honors.
I got accepted by my second-choice major Chinese.

I guess it depends on your major choice, too. Work hard

I screwed up on my Sophomore year grades.

irvine isn`t THAT easy to get into anymore. riverside is like the ultimate backup..but if you think you`re not even good enough for them..there`s always merced. anyway..do you mean uwash in seattle or uwash of st. louis? the st. louis one is pretty darn hard to get in to as far as i know. but davis..my grades are ehhh. and i`m going so..lol. idk. not a lotta extra currics. SOME volunteer..going in as a psych major..will probably double up with english. O_o

KILL THE LIGHTS.

for UW, if u do manage to get ur grades up and have a decent SAT score as well as impressive extra curricular activities then its possible to get in even wit sum low grades during ur earlier years of highskool. when ur writing ur application essay, state why ur grades were low the first 2 years and then explain wat motivated u to work hard to get ur grades up. the way UW decides on incoming freshman is by a x-y axis chart, with x being ur GPA and y being ur SAT scores. people who fall close to their targeted area of GPA and SAT score are usually decided then by what is in the personal statement/essay. work hard and make that possibility a reality!
