I got into Suny university of buffalo law last week. I want to get into the corporate side of law but I know that the better school you come out from the better your employment prospects at the big firms and because of that I am kind of worried of going to UB. So, why not go to another school? Well, its because of my lsat score, I did poorly. My gpa, however, is around 3.68 (cgpa 4 years in accounting).

The question I guess is, should I just attempt to stay back a year and focus on the lsat (right now I'm scoring around 75 percentile in practice and I think I could really improve my score given more time b/c I only studied for a month and a half last feb which was my first attempt) and apply next year to a more reputable school, or should I go to UB and Transfer to second year at a better school after first year (ideally UofT or Osgoode Hall York University, I'm from Toronto and I strongly want to practice and live in the Toronto area. Oh and btw Ontario law schools now take the highest lsat scores, they do not avg. all past lsat scores.)

There is a risk to both decisions I guess being that my lsat scores does not improve, or I do not achieve grades high enough to transfer to the schools I want to after first year. What are your recommendations?

Oops I meant to put this in the law school thread. Can this be moved? Sorry.
