This is going to be my first time selling my textbook, or anything, online at half.com. I signed up for a seller's account so far, but haven't gotten any further.

My question is, how does this work? I know ebay charges a listing fee, but is that the only fee they charge? Are there any other fees that they charge? Does it cost extra to have my book listed for couple of months?

Also, I read somewhere before that they will pay you back for shipping charges. Is that true?

Those are the only questions for now and I hope you can answer them.

Thanks.

Half.com doesn't charge a listing fee like ebay. They only take a certain % out of the total cost of the transaction. I don't think there are any other fees. The bright side about listing it on half.com opposed to ebay is the fact that your book stays listed until its sold without paying additional fees.

Shipping is paid for by the buyer. When you list an item you have two shipping options, media mail which is $3.75 (i think) or expedited about $5.75 or so. I remember reading a policy about half reimbursing shipping costs if it costs more than either one of those prices. I've never had that problem with shipping so if you're interested in that you should look into it.

Thanks.

Here's another question that just came up, do they charge for removing the list? For example, I found someone at school that's willing to buy it for the same price and want to take the listing off of half.com.
