ok my laptop is starting to act out and i don't know what the problems could be..

ISSUE 1:
whenever i put a cd/dvd in it won't read it...it's not even there if i try to run it manually.
--sometimes tho it will be there..until i put the cd/dvd in
---on the few times that the drive ''stays'' there when i try to burn a cd or dvd it won't work..i'll get error messages:not registered' or some number (ie ERROR CODE: 1234567) but when i click the ''web help'' button...it's useless.
-- this has never happened before..i used to burn CDs with no problem...just recently i've decided to burn some of my vids to DVD so i can free up some space...that's when i noticed the problem.

ISSUE 2:
when i use MS Paint, the colors are off.
--like if i want to use pink, it will show up brown..and if i want to use green it will be orange..but the little color palate is showing the right colors..its just when i use the actual tools the colors go all weird on me...the only ones that are the same are black and white...
--this i noticed a few weeks ago.i have no idea what it could be..?

ISSUE 3:
my laptop takes FOREVER to exit windows....
--it's annoying. i just started to keep it on standby because i get so frustrated with the stupid blue screen...
--once it took atleast 15 minutes to turn off...and anther time i closed the top before it shut down..and the next morning when i opened it...IT WAS STILL ON THE STUPID BLUE SCREEN!! ''windows is shutting down'' my ass.

lol ok welps those are my laptops issues, in order of importance to me...so can anybody help!?

Issue 1:
Does your drive read dissk properly? Like for anything... will it read? If not, then thats an easy fix... My handy windows hates my hardware guide http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23012
So uninstall the driver from the device manager, then restart to let windows put it back.

Issue 2:
That is madness.

The only thing I can think of would be your drivers and some insane color mixer issue. If you say for example started Photoshop to scribble a little in there, will you end up with the correct colors? I know adobe installs an Adobe Gamma, and your monitor/video card will probably come with some color correction tool that might be going whacked for you.

Issue 3:
Do you quit all your programs before trying to shut down?
Things that start up, especially the ones in the system tray next to your clock will make your shutdown times miserable. Windows has to close each one of those individually and sometimes when its shutting down, it will close something the program in the tray needs causing it to crash. Windows will then wait for the program to un-crash or time out. I believe there is a registry fix to set the wait to kill but I can't recall the keyword off the top of my head.

Either way, use start-> run -> msconfig and take a look at your startup and see if anything seems unnecessary.
