The only problem I have when using Stephen King source material is that they don't do it justice. Hopefully 1408 is different. Sam Jackson is in the movie for like 10 mins total lol =\

"Daddy? Don't you LOVE ME ANYMORE?" LOL!
It doesn't look that bad, the trailers just intentionally funny, imo. I'll see it on cable or something if it gets good reviews, because it does look potentially claustrophobic and intense. I just hope they don't use a lot of special FX or CGI or anything like a lot of modern horror films. And it's from a King story, and if there's a talented cast/crew making a King movie it usually turns out well. (Like the Shining, not.. the Langoliers lol)
What's this rated, btw? Please tell me it's R, I'm sick of this slew of PG-13 horror films.
and nothing to doubt.

Anyways, 1408 hasn't been rated yet, but it'll probably be rated R. Most Stephen King films are, aren't they? (I just hope this one isn't as gory as Dreamcatcher).

The US ratings system is stupid, as are the execs that can't see a R-rated flick to be a money maker. Canada rarely throws on a R unless it's really justified.

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.

Well there are some other good ones, like The Others and The Ring (which is like the only good asian remake I've seen), but I think horror films are films that need to be free, with not so strict boundries. They only work nowadays with a below R rating if the film lies heavily on atmosphere and suspense/tension (like the aforementioned films), but the problem is that most PG13 horror films don't have either of those. They're made so that everyone involved can make money and for the actual "horror" they rely on cheap scares. Ala Boogeyman. Not to say 1408 will turn out that way but judging by the trailer and the fact that it's a SK story, I REALLY thought it was gonna be rated R.
Ewww.. I had forgotten about that movie LOL
and nothing to doubt.

Yeah, the movie was awful. But I've read the book. It is so much better. The movie have left out so many scenes that is in the book.
Anyways, I like most movies with John Cusack in it. I especially like the movie he made in the 80's. I will go see 1408 for sure.

Unfortunately I had terrible thoughts of Phonebooth. 90% of the flick in the room, 90% of Phonebooth in.. a phonebooth!
