I really like Italian, Korean, and Japanese food...but to me, nothing tops Soul Food....nothing.

why do i like Soul Food above all? well...because it's what i grew up on, but it's more than that...to me whenever i eat it, i feel like somebody loves me haha its like comfort food..i always think of my mom or grandmas in the kitchen throwing down..haha i mean..other food tastes good..but my momma's cooking always hits the spot.

so what about you guys?! what's your favorite food and why?

I like south Indian and Sri Lankan food, because of the many ingredients and flavors that I enjoy: rice, coconut, sour fruits, pungent alliums, oily fritters. The cuisine is vegetarian-friendly. And you eat with your hands.

It's hard to choose, but I have to go with Vietnamese/Chinese cuisine.

Pho, banh xeo, com tam, banh cuon, banh trang, banh beo, cha gio, banh tet, and lots lots lots lots lots more.

And I love traditional Chinese food... like congee! ._.v
(None of the sweet&sourpork stuff... that's not Chinese! )

And I can't go very long without rice

I love Vietnamese food but I'm not too fond of Japanese food... I just hated it after eating it in Japan for 6 weeks... not substantial like Viet food.

soul food is american food, thats cooked in traditional ''black'' ways...lol iono, like collard and mustard greens, baked macaroni, fried chicken, cornbread, cabbage, hog maws and chit'lins (which i actually hate..gross), pickeld pigs feet and eggs (yum) ox tails, kidney beans, rice, fish etc...its just the way it's prepared that tastes nothing like anything out there...aside from the gross chitterlings and hog maws, its all pretty yummy...

where do you live? there might be a few soul food restaurants around your neighborhood that you could check out.

chinese <3 = I grew up eating it, it's yummy and it's home. Plus there are so many different variety of dishes out there, I haven't even tried half the stuff from my home province yet.

I also love italian and japanese food. I like korean food but only a very limited amount of dishes. Middle East/Lebanese food is growing on me, I would love to have the chance to try more of their foods. I also really want to try soul food. it sounds very unhealthy and yet simple and delicious.

i love korean food! there are so many dishes as well as side dishes. its versatile!

my other favorites: mexican, indian, middle eastern, mediterranean, cajun, american, greek, japanese, italian, hawaiin, japanese, chinese, and more.

To me, Korean food is the best. I love kimchee jjigae, ggong chi joh lihm, gahl bee, yook gye jang gook, dduk bohk gi, kim bab, all of the good stuff.
