how do i watch movies in my windows media player without the screensaver popping out?? i already took off the check in the "allow screensaver during playback" and its still popping out! help plz!

on your desktop, right click, properties, screen saver, in the lil scroll down menu click (none), apply. ok

but but i DO remember i could watch movies without the screensaver, it only pops out when like im really doing nothing, and when im watching, it doesnt pop out. anybody knows how? cuz im too lazy to disable the screensaver each time i want to watch a movie >.<

I don't know.

Just disable it. Why do you want to use the screen saver function anyways? Just use the "turn monitor off" function in the power section.

Some programs have a built in anti monitor standby feature. All depends on the code.

its suppose to pop out when your not doing anythign on the computer for a while..
or just like SHP said increase your screensaver time..

You can try to FORCE it to not pop up during playback. It might work for you.

Go to Start > Run > type gpedit.msc and hit enter. This will bring up the Group Policy Editor. Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Media Player > Playback. Double click on the Allow Screensaver option. It's normally set to "Not Configured" but what you want to do is select Disabled. Hit Apply then OK. Now test it out and cross your fingers.
