hey guys, i am totally lost right now. i just created a domain and signed for a web host on bluehost.com and i dunno where to start. i want to use my site for uploading files, so that users can download off my site. i would REALLY appreciate it if someone helped me! thnx

I don't know whether your host gives you cpanel or not... if it does... you can upload files from the cpanel by access http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel (or .net/.org, depending on your domain).

ORRR... you can use FTP to upload files... usually the default FTP address is ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com (or .net/.org) and your username should be the username and password are the default one you have registered for that domain... port usually is 21... try using cuteftp or a ftp client to access it... you can always use your browser, but ftp clients have more features and are more user-friendily IMO...

If you just created the domain, it won't be ready from 24-72 hours.
When you're domain and your host is all ready, they should send you an email with all the information on how to log on.

And yes, Bluehost has Cpanel which will be easy for you to quickly get used to.
