Season 2

It has been confirmed that Gossip Girl will have a second season airing in Fall 2008 with 24 new episodes. It's been confirmed that the season begins in the Hamptons. The official title for the first episode of Season 2 is "Summer, Kind of Wonderful", A take off of the John Hughes' film, "Some Kind of Wonderful." Production could stop because of the possibility of a Screen Actors' strike.

Why is this show still on air?!

Even the plot twists are boring. The """"bigggg"""" secret Serena had was more than a snore and when they made a hellavula about revealing who was gay it was EXPECTED.

and unsurprising.

sometimes the scenes and dialogue make me cringe.

don't get me wrong though I can see why it could appeal to some people. Its.."glamorous" but I still think it could have been done 1000000x better if it had a better script and director

Well, after backtracking ten pages, I believe I am officially the only Blair + Nate fan in this thread, lol. I used to be so hardcore about Blair and Chuck, but that was before I watched the entire show (I only saw clips of certain episodes), then I actually watched the entire season and I somehow had a deep change of heart. I mean, I was totally pissed off when Nate wouldn't forgive Blair for sleeping with Chuck because--HELLO? He slept with Serena while he was still with Blair, and Blair slept with Chuck while they were broken up! Sure, it was probably only 20 minutes or so after they broke up, but they were still broken up! It just doesn't make any sense. (Or maybe I'm wrong about Nate sleeping with Serena while he was with Blair, but it doesn't make any sense for Serena to leave for boarding school if he wasn't in a relationship with her best friend.)

I really don't care that Chuck stood Blair up; I think it'd be kinda stupid if he lost his "bad boy" character, anyway. Then again, every bad boy needs to be tamed eventually, right? I just don't think it should be by Blair, and I can see why the writers decided to ruin their "relationship" at the end of the season. I mean it's JUST the first season; it's too soon to really solidify any couples right now. I also don't get why nearly everybody is blaming Bart. He was just really proud of his son, is that a horrible thing? I actually like Bart and feel bad for the man because his new wife is in love with someone else. (As much as I sympathize Lily and Rufus, I can't help but feel bad for Bart as well.)

Although I really am disappointed (and sort of pissed off) about Serena and Dan's break up (which also makes no sense whatsoever, but I shall not get into that), I can see why the writers also decided to do that, even though I do think they should have found some other way to break them up because it was way too horribly vague.

The season started out and ended badly. I didn't like the pilot or finale, but the episodes in between made up for it, I guess. I'm looking forward to season two. I predict Nate/Serena, Dan/Vanessa, Blair/"Helicopter guy", and Chuck as Chuck. Maybe more ridiculously annoying Jenny-trying-to-rule-the-school drama as well.

Hopefully, in the long run, the writers won't screw up the show like they did with The O.C. when they killed off Marissa (although I heard it had something to do with Mischa Barton personally, so I don't wholeheartedly blame the writers) and they tried making up for it with Taylor. (Sorry, I'm just kind of a big fan of the original "Fantastic Four"...)

Anyway. That's my two cents. Had to get it off my chest. Feel free to tell me otherwise. I'm sure I must've missed something about the show that you B&C fans will surely rub in my face, lol. (Just kidding, I'm sure you guys aren't that mean....)

don't worry. i've been a huge blair + nate fan since the beginning and whole-heartedly support them. but i'd prefer it if nate grew a pair before they actually hook up, cos nate has NOT been written well on the show. until then, i'd prefer blair with someone else, oh, anyone but chuck.

actually by the end of the series nate doesn't end up with anyone, though save for the prequel blair has pretty much been his main love interest.

I've been here in earlier pages and was very vocal about being their only fan at the time . Yea no offense to C+B lovers but the coupling is just too DAMN weird (maybe it's because I'm used to the books and they would NEVER ever would hook up).

Although I like the show a lot, it's just sometimes overhyped and the dialogue and plotlines look totally pointless and they need to give out more "oomph" in the second season and sometimes, they just need to be even nastier.

Ok I just started watching this show two days ago I think and I really love it. I'm actually only up to episode 16 but can I just say after the "big reveal" the really big one, I literally felt chills haha. I love this show, it's awesome! Too bad theres only two episodes left. After that I have to wait for the season premiere all over again When's it premiering again?
