Maybe I'm reading too much into it. I should just move on huh?
He is thinking so hard not to hurt your feelings and you are thinking too hard about it. Just move on, that's the best choice.

QUOTE(guineapigdi @ Jun 28 2007, 10:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I've liked this guy for more than a year. He's currently a waiter and studies at a community college. He lives with his older brother and his parents are in another state. His friends always tease him, telling him to woo me and that I was "perfect" for him, but he never did. I told him that I liked him and he looked surprised and asked, "Why?" "What do you mean why?" and he said," Sorry, I gotta go" and went to the cafeteria to get lunch. When his cousin asked him why he hasn't made a move yet, he said, "I don't have time to think about these things." His cousin also told me that he told her he "doesn't have a future". After a few months I asked him if he liked me or not, he said, "I can't like anyone so suddenly." When I asked him again, he thought long and hard and said no. One of his guy friends told me that his whole group of friends thought he was crazy and stupid for not liking me. Two of them even confessed that they liked me.Did his hesitation mean anything? Or was he just thinking of a way not to hurt my feelings?Maybe I'm reading too much into it. I should just move on huh?
well I think the dude is being a scardy cat for whatever reason (I use to do that).Just sit down with him and talk to him. After you have a little convo going, then ask why it seems he was trying to run away from you. Just talk in comfort level (interests, hobbies, and etc.) and then transition into the question that had you wondering. Hit on him off the bat and he'll probably be running LMAO

What do you prefer, girls with long hair or short hair? Most guy friends I've asked answered me long hair. If you prefer long hair... why is so attractive about long hair?

well it depends on the girl. If her hair cut matches her facial structures than it wouldnt matter, but I prefer long hair on most girls because short hair makes them look like a boy ph34r.gif

1) Some guys do, some guys dont.
2) Personality does involved more careful consideration when looking for a wife because that is someone who you are going to spend the rest of your life with.

Guys brag. I don't, I keep to myself like some the guys out here.

Its the same for me. If I want a loose goose (which I don't) I'll look for one. If want a gf, I'll look for one with the same possibility of the gf being the wife. If I can't live in harmony with the girl, then obviously she aint girlfriend or wife material.

But every guy is different. But all guys know that girls out number guys.
So of course guys are gonna take advantage of the ladies or they don't worry about being 80's year and single cause obviously "there's more fish in the sea".

Do GIRLS have boyfriends to have fun or to find "the one"?
Same thing.

It really depends on guys and their age. Generally speaking, guys are more likely to have a girlfriend to have fun during their teenage years. Later on, in their mid-twenties, they will start looking for a stable, lifetime companion, or "the one". It's just the same with girls. But, it may vary depending on the guy's personality.

This happened quite a long time ago, but I'm curious.
I told this guy that I liked him (only guy I ever told >.>). And he told me that he didn't want to start anything because the school year was ending, and we wouldn't see each other during the summer.
I talked to another guyfriend about this and he said that it was just an excuse not to hurt my feelings. I didn't know what to think because the guy I liked is a big flirt (I think I might be too ph34r.gif ). At first I believed my friend, but the week of events following the incident.. were very confusing.
1. Guy who rejected me makes moves like kissing me on the cheek, hugging me, holding my hand, etc. He kinda did that stuff before too though 0_0.
2. Guyfriend who liked me the previous year showed signs of liking me again. (same guy who said the excuse thing btw)
3. Guyfriend is known to be madly in love with this other girl, but girl shows no interest.
4. We're both kinda heart-broken, and I'm easily influenced. ><' He showed signs of liking me again (I was certain that he did). I ended up developing feelings for him (because I'm easily wooed like that... damn you kdramas!! *shakes fist) We ended up dating.. for three weeks (Sadly, my longest relationship ever.)
ANYWAY! Er... what was I saying 0_0?
Oh yah! Uhmm.. well the guy I liked who had rejected me showed signs of liking me AFTER rejecting me. BUT I started dating another guy. (Aish... so confusing ><' sorry.)

So do you guys think that the guy I actually liked had feelings for me too, or was he just being a flirt? If my guyfriend and I hadn't gotten together, would there have been a chance for me and the other guy?

Seems pretty confusing, but from what I understood, the guy friend you asked out didn't want to start anything because it wouldn't be "convenient", not because he didn't like you. Unless, like your friend said, it was an excuse.

It is said also that when you reveal to someone you like them, the person may react by liking the confessor back in a natural way, kinda like mutual attraction. "Wow? She likes me? Hey she's kinda cute too btw...", if you catch my drift.

Since the guy knew you liked him, I'm assuming he said this bunch of excuses, then he tested the bond between you and him, such as kissing on the cheeks, hugging, etc. to try to feel if everything would be good - let's call it a pre-relationship testing.

Anyway, be careful still. When you tell a guy you like them, it opens a door for them, and some can take advantage of it, in a bad way (for yourself). Easiest solution is just to talk about it directly instead of guessing.

Here is how you look at it.

1~17 age thinks, "everybody is doing it. i should too."
18~25 age thinks, "i gotta show off to my friends."
26~30 age thinks, "i gotta find the one now."
31~40 age thinks, "i love my child at home."
41~50 age thinks, "i seriously need to retire."
51~60 age thinks, "i need a vacation."
61~70 age thinks... i'm really not sure about this one. sorry!

and so on.

How are girls supposed to act around the guy's friends?

How do guys expect girls to act and be comfortable when him and his guy friends speak in 'inside joke' codes?

They don't, he's playing around with you. Don't hang out with that person talking in 'inside joke' codings.
