hi there..i was wondering if anyone has this camera.i'm in the process of getting a new camera and i'm on a budget..something around 200 USD..this camera is really kewt but kewt doesn't always account for quality so please help me..if anyone has a recommendation for another camera.please tell me.THANKS for the help in advance!

im not so sure about this one, but usually sony is the one that has the best lens (carl sezis/or however you spell it) and takes the best pictures. i have sony t-100, and its really good.

Sony's digital cameras are really overrated, at least in my opinion. Since you're on a budget, you probably can't afford a Canon SD series, since they're aroud 250+, at least 300 for one of the newer ones. You can probably get one of the Canon Powershot A-series, a bit bulkier, but they come out with better quality pictures than Sony and they run on AA batteries.
Or you can look at Fujifilm's Z5 which comes in pink, rasberry red, brown, and silver. It's on sale at BestBuy for ~200.
I've heard that a lot of digital camera's are just ___ ___ lens in name nowadays. They aren't made in Japan or Germany anymore, apparently they're made in countries that aren't exactly specialists in lens making...so the quality goes down. (Carl Zeiss for sony, Leica for panasonic,etc). They aren't the top tier quality lens that they used to be. So don't always just look for the name, because my Olympus takes better pictures than my cousin's 600 gazillion dollar Sony camera from Japan.

I have this camera in pink. Bought it pretty much for that, however I am very partial to the baby blue one as well. Just got it not too long ago. It's good however I was just doing some research and it turns out that it isn't as good as my old one which was a Casio Exilim EX-Z70.
Cons:
- not made in Japan, stupid salesperson tricked me ;o
- Memory sticks are more costly
- buttons are very small. Luckily I am a relatively small person with tiny hands! But if I have to get other people to use it, it is a bit of a problem.
- Also, it doesn't have an anti-shake feature and you have no idea how many people have shaky hands while taking a picture
- The zoom isn't very far. That's very important to me since I always sit far away at concerts. I'm not too sure about the video. Can someone enlighten me?
Other than that, the phone is purty and great!
