Bae Seul Gi is going to act in a Chinese drama with Chinese actor Zhang Xu Long [Jang Wook].
Her company has already signed the contract with Hunan and Zhejiang province television station. They will work together to film China's biggest hip-hop drama. Seul Gi will be the lead actress and her Chinese fanclub has over 60 thousand members due to Seul Gi's high popularity, mainly because of Loveletter.

Story:
The story begin from at a garment factory in Qing Dao, Sun Fei Ying (spelled in Han Yu Pin Yin) [21years old,female] lost both her parents when she was 8 years old. She lives in her uncle's house,who is a drunkard and a gambler. An old guitar, given to her by her parents is the main thing that made her love music and persistence to music and also her only support/reason to live.
Jiang Jian is a singer that has lost popularity, he met Sun Fei Ying accidentally and discovers her talent in music.
But when Jiang Jian decided to propose cooperation to Fei Ying, she went to Shanghai.
Shanghai is where Fei Ying starts her suffering.

Q: Is Bae Seul Gi going to be dubbed in the drama?
A: Yes, yes, and yes.
Q: Why?!
A: She cannot speak Chinese fluently, mainland series dub ALL non mainland stars. Including Thai [TAE, etc.], Korean [Kang Ta, Jang Nara, etc.], Taiwanese [Ariel Lin, Alyssa Chia, Alec Su, etc.], and any other country stars.
Q: Why is she speaking Chinese during the filming then?
A: She refused to say her lines in Korean because once she gets dubbed, her mouth will not match the dubbing. So she is working harder to memorize Chinese lines so that WHEN [not if] she gets dubbed, the dubbed voice will match her mouth movement.

The unusual thing is that BSG says her lines in Chinese. Most Korean actors say their lines in Korean, which then they are dubbed in Chinese. But BSG refused the Korean lines. "It's obvious that if I speak Korean and they dub my voice, my mouth will not match the words and it will be awkward. Even though I'm not good at Chinese, I want to show my best."
Q: Why is she even doing this drama then?
A: Since she has a large fanbase in China already, her company wants her to gain more popularity in China. Just like why SM pushes Kang Ta to be in more Chinese dramas and same with Jang Nara's company. Starring in this drama will increase her popularity.
Q: Is her popularity dying in Korea? That must be why she's doing it.
A: No. It is not. She's still doing activities in Korea, doing game shows, and still recording her 2nd album.
P.S. Kim Jung Hoon is also going to star in a Chinese drama soon and you -cannot- say that his popularity is dying in Korea and that's why he's doing that. He, like BSG, has a large fanbase in China so he's expanding it with a Chinese drama. It's called "marketing". And yes. He will be dubbed also.
