I'm currently looking for a new mp3 player after my old one died after a little over a year because of it being charged too often and whatnot =-= I thought that my dead mp3 player was a little plain, it playing only audio and nothing else. So this time around, I looked for an mp3 player less than $140, around 2GB or so with audio, video and additional features on it and came across the Sandisk Sansa E250 and the Samsung T9 [Can't find the T9B] and I'm comparing the cons and pros of both. One big question is the battery. My old battery was a Lithium Ion and it died already even though I pretty much took good care of it and now I'm wondering about the Lithium Polymer. Plus is a user-replaceable battery outlet an advantage?

o_oa what was your old mp3 player?

tongue.gif im on the hunt for a cheap one that has more space than my current mp3 player.

Anyways lithium polymer is newer technology and is supposed to be more stable in terms of leaking and exploding batteries (fireballs and stuff think recalled laptop batteries)

If I recall correctly, they are about the same in terms of reliability. The chemicals in the batteries break down either way.

You can actually change the batteries on ipods and all that, its just a little harder thats all.

It was a blue Archos XS GMini 100. Poo. That means I'd be better off with the Sansa if I want to replace my battery when it dies, but I love the features and the design of the T9. =\
