what happened?(whether you really were cheating or weren't). were you able to get out of it and how? what consequences did you suffer if you didn't?

i've been falsely accused of cheating without a way to prove my innocence because it involved a computer program assignment that i uninstalled after i was done with the work. i can't seem to recover the files he requires to show that i did my own work, so yeah. i've emailed my professor explaining everything but i don't know what will happen. i'm somewhat afraid he'd just think i was trying to cover up my "cheating". hopefully i can get out of this with just having to redo the assignment. i suppose i'll have updates soon.

Yes, i have been and I was freakin mad about it too.

The lecturer emailed me about my supposed cheating, and I made an appointment to go see him about it. He told me at the worst time, because I was in the middle of my exams, so I was full on stressing.

We were doing a multimedia lab test, and we weren't allowed to put the files anywhere but on the drive we'd been allocated in the Mac. However in previous classes you could mount your PC student drive to the Mac computers (which I had never done, cos I never had extra work to do). Anyway my name came up to say that I had moved files onto my student drive during the end of the exam, which was a 'nono' and an automatic fail and a cheat on the subject. So I asked them to double check the claim, and I specifically mentioned that I had never mounted my student drive onto a Mac. So they had a lab assistant check it all out, and realised that I hadn't moved files onto my student drive, and that my student drive wasn't even mounted onto any of the Macs, so it was a 'mystery'. So they apologised for the mistake. I refused to take any of the subjects that the lecturer or the other tutor taught.

And then also because of this, they deducted marks from my final grade on the subject, which I didn't even realise, until they emailed me to tell me they had made amendments to my grade. EISH So I actually got a better mark than what I received previously.

I thought I had turned off my phone before class since it was a 8:30am class and we were taking a test. The professor reminded everyone (she's REALLY strick with it) to turn their phones OFF. I didn't check mines cuz I figured I turned it off and noone would call me at 8oclock in the morning haha.

Yeah, well my pastor out of the blue decides to call me THEN in the middle of my test.. and the ring was on silent but omgosh everyone turned around - including the professor.

She def put me out in front of everyone.. holding up her phone and saying... blah blah lol..and then I had to talk to her after class to get my phone back cuz she took it. It was embarrasing =/ I was so upset at my pastor for calling haha... but yeah, I got off and she didn't give me a zero. I think I do the whole "innocent act" very well and i suck up like crazyyy =)

When I was in kindergarten, I was accused of cheating, because I was. And it wasn't hard to catch me cheating--I had the book open right in front of me on the floor. I don't know how I would talk my way out of THAT XD And it was during a major exam too, so I was scolded really badly, my parents were called to the office, and they asked if I could re-take the examination. Fortunately, the teachers agreed, so I was able to pass~

During elementary and high school though, I have been accused of letting others cheat instead of cheating XD

i think i got a 69% on it after my group leader vouched for me. better than nothing i guess. but i really dunno if i'll pass the class now due to this and my grades on everything else. sigh...

not in college, but in high school ive been accused of cheating from my ap english teacher. he was such a jerk...but he assumed a lot so his credibility was never taken seriously.

i was accused of cheating on a high school shakespeare essay! i was shocked and very upset at the teacher. the fact that i did actually cheat on the essay is a non-issue. i couldn't believe my teacher had the balls to actually accuse me

french class in hs i had a index card w/ all the vocabs and their definitions. teacher saw me and i slipped it in its "special place" (inbtwn the table and bar that keeps the table standing). she told me to get up and accused me i was scared of the paper slipping out but it didn't and i just bsed my way out w/ the whole i don't know what youre talking about and aced the exam. i cheated on every exam in that class. i think we had 5 total including final. she noticed that one time and never bothered me again. god i hated french WHY DID I CHOOSE THAT LANGUAGE AAAAA

omg that happened to me except it was a 800 student lecture for psychology and we were taking the final for the semester
so everything was super quiet then my friend -__- decides to call mee at 8 something =_= and of course i happen to have
a super poppy bubbly korean girlband song for my ringtone >_< plus my volume is always set on highest so i can hear my alarm in the mornings the worst thing
was it took FOREVER to find my phone so i could turn it off since i had so much junk in my tote T_T luckily i didnt get accused of cheating or anything though :]

I used to TA. and i would be marking assignments and midterms.

and i would find cheaters..... duplicate copies of the same assignments. not even spaced when handed in. back to back.

questions during the exam, where u came up with the correct answer out of nowhere. showing no work. and work shown is all wrong.

of course these students got off, but at least put some effort in to it.
