um... if by sub you mean subtitle, then yes
it will look pretty much the same as long as the resolutions match up (assuming the video itself is otherwise identical in length, start times, frame times, etc etc)

otherwise, you can go into the sub and edit it to make it match up...

edit: whoops, you posted in the help & troubleshooting forum too... ah well
