So yeah i just wanted to see who here either knows what rugby is and who here plays it as a sport. It's a pretty physical sport and is kind of like American football except without any pads or minimal pads.

im a HUGE fan of rugby! rugby union though...not really into rugby league

Played for school and was one of the best things i have eva done. Really physical and tiring. Yeh, we dont lik wearing pads or much, theres no better feeling than tackling someone shoulder to body...flesh to flesh, bone to bone....In saying that though, Ive been playing Gridiron at uni and its been really fun aswell. Ild say the hits are harder but only becuz you have so much more energy. Unlike in rugby, where your constantly running around tacking, rucking, scrimmaging etc...u spend a lot of time on the sidelines or waiting for something to happen. I mean, the game takes 3 or so hours but there is actually only around 30 mins actual playing time. Still, both sports are great!

I played rugby in high scoool ^___^ it's one of my favorite sports to play. I don't actually watch it much though...I probably would enjoy it, if I ever took the time to find the streams for it online.

what position do you play? I was rotated quite a bit actually, but I'd say I was on the wings the most often....but I have also have played lock, fly-half and outside centre.

My team absolutely sucked, and if I recall we never won a game, and usually struggled to get enough people to show up to even form a team (consquently, we had to play the entire game, injured or not. We were only taken off for serious injuries kekeke.)

i played highschool rugby my sophomore year and i'm playing it again my junior year.
i'm really excited and i can't wait till it starts.
it gets rough sometimes, especially for someone as small as me, but its a really fun sport.

i play outside centre...ive played as openside breakaway b4 but its just not as fun. I love lining up your opposite number and just piledriving him into the ground. Not head first of course... unsure.gif .lidolO_zen....where abouts in sydney are you? Where i am, heaps of asians play, but they usually arent that good cuz they are generaly alot smaller than the caucasion guys...i guess im lucky im pretty built for an asian
