Synopsis
dramawiki: Inoue takes on the role of Mio, a selfish brat. Because of an incurable illness, she lives in the U.S. for medical treatment, but she returns to Japan to visit her older brother (Hideaki Ito), whom she has been separated from since their parents' divorce. She discovers that he's become a good-for-nothing, employed at a show bar and fallen into debt

Memories of the mistaken kiss when Mio was 5 resurfaces in Ikki's mind. "I will grant your wish anytime."
And so, it is decided that Ikki will fulfill his sister's different wishes.
He soon comes to know of her first wish. Mio wants to be in love. Then Mio meets a trainee doctor ... ... Can Ikki really give Mio the present of a first kiss?

Inoue Mao - Fukunaga Mio (20)
Mio's parents divorced 10 years ago. To treat her illness, she lived with her mother in America. Mio decides to return to Japan before a difficult surgery. She was a loveable girl in the past but has now become a conceited and wilful girl because of her illness.
Ito Hideaki - Kano Ikki (28)
Mio's older brother, a cameraman's assistant. He has lived alone ever since his father found a new wife. He's a womaniser, and on the verge of being sacked, has been leading an aimless life.
Hiraoka Yuuta - Yuuki Akio (26)
A trainee doctor at the hospital Mio is admitted. He was scolded by Mio while administering the intravenous drip but they strangely hit it off. Akio later helps Mio but spurred by their respective predicaments, each adopts an aloof attitude towards the other.
Matsuyuki Yasuko - Takagi Renko (33)
Mio's attending physician. She was put in charge of Mio when she was training in America. Ikki is captivated by her cool, sexy demeanour but Renko, whose work involves saving lives, has no interest in a womaniser like Ikki.
Abe Sadayo - Nikaido Masaru (30)
A stylist assistant who lives together with Ikki. He recklessly entered the fashion world but hasn't made much headway.
Gekidan Hitori - Shido Ichiryu (28)
A makeup assistant who lives together with Ikki. It's his parents' home but he's somehow stuck with doing all the housework. Is he gay?
Sakai Wakana - Saito Haruna (27)
A fashion magazine model and bank employee who thinks she's Ikki's lover. She gets to know Mio by chance. They develop good rapport and become good friends.
Natsuki Mari - Fukunaga Rieko (50)
Mio's mother. A career woman who works in a top American firm. She pours her energy into her work. Everything she does is motivated by her desire to see her daugther healthy.
Takenaka Naoto - Banda Dai (50)
Ikki's teacher. He's harsh towards his assistant but recognises his talent.
Warabino Tomoya - Shohata Takeo (22)
A cameraman's assistant. He first started out under Ikki but has now become the chief assistant. He's diligent and talented and dislikes Ikki.

Mao Inoue to star in 'Getsu 9' drama

The rumors of actress Mao Inoue starring in Fuji TV's Monday 9:00pm drama slot this summer have been confirmed. The series is tentatively titled "First Kiss" and begins airing on July 9.
Inoue takes on the role of Mio, a selfish brat. Because of an incurable illness, she lives in the U.S. for medical treatment, but she returns to Japan to visit her older brother (Hideaki Ito), whom she has been separated from since their parents' divorce. She discovers that he's become a good-for-nothing, employed at a show bar and fallen into debt.
Yuta Hiraoka plays the part of Mio's love interest, a medical trainee. Other cast members include Sadao Abe, Hitori Gekidan, and Naoto Takenaka. Popular writer Yumiko Inoue is in charge of the script.

I'm soooo loving the cast. 
most people in dramas with incurable disease themes ive seen act all fragile and sad...mao's character in this drama however sounds different...so i hope it won't be something disappointing 
I don't want to watch another 1 litre of tears 
don't think i can handle it..
