It's very complicated to comment about this, not to mention such a sensitive issue too.
There was no Israel before this in the early centuries, there was only Palestine. There were 2 main religions at that time which were Islam and Christian. With 75 percent of it's citizens being Muslims, it soon became a predominantly Islamic country but other beliefs and faith were free to be practiced. Long story short, Arab landlord sold his lands to Jewish settlers. Jews found freedom in Palestine, decides to stay there. They treated the Arabs with hostility and cruelty.Which wasn't supposed to happen since it was the Arabs land in the first place and they were only refugees. So it's safe to say that Israel doesn't really belong to the Jews in the first place.
“[During the Middle Ages,] North Africa and the Arab Middle East became places of refuge and a haven for the persecuted Jews of Spain and elsewhere...In the Holy Land...they lived together in [relative] harmony, a harmony only disrupted when the Zionists (distinct minority of Jews after WW2) began to claim that Palestine was the ‘rightful’ possession of the ‘Jewish people’ to the exclusion of its Moslem and Christian inhabitants.” Sami Hadawi, “Bitter Harvest.”

-What I say, most of the time....It's right...So just accept it and save it into your system-
