I wanted a job so bad that I applied for one in sophomore year when I was 14 years old. To my surprise, I was hired! It was at a fast food place though. Most likely, the only place accepting young students are fast food restaurants unless your cousin has a super cool talent, maybe she can search in that field.

A lot of my friends found jobs at supermarkets when they were fourteen
Most fast food joints hire at fifteen, so she could try there

I'm not sure but I heard from a few friends that places like...

Sonic
Quizos Sub

They hire 15 year olds.

It's better when you turn 16 though. A lot of places accept 16+.

some grocery stores hire 15-year-olds. it'd be stuff like pushing in carts, bagging food, and cleaning up messes.. but hey, a job's a job!

Fast food is decent if you want quick money, and a high rate of getting the job.

If you can; try to help your cousin find a paid internship. Learn while you earn is good =). Teaches good skills -> writing up a resume for it and interview stuff.

Also, libraries are in need of people to help put books up and what-not. That's another place =).

--> I did paid internships. How? I just asked my teacher if he knew any companies that had internships. Had my teacher hook me up in High School pretty much with a nice paid internship.

I make my income via web design. I have a friend who has a little network of high school kids that do it. It's actually not that well paying due to the fact we are all very inexperienced and our clients happen to not ask for much and our clients happen to be few and far between, but that's also an area to consider.

I think the hiring age is different in different areas.
But I don't know, check with like relatives who have like small shops or something.
Or maybe employed friends who can see if they need some extra help.

For me, I'm 15 and I've got a job as a cashier.
I just went around the mall asking places if they were hiring.
