How Many Of You Are Behind In College? meaning

Now I've only completed two years of college and I have two more years to go until I graduate. My parents aren't happy with this and they're giving me a hard time since my cousins are also graduating this year. And they keep ranting about how slow and stupid I am. And they're very ashamed that I'm behind everyone in my family and the people they know.
I feel I'm the only one behind. What about you guys? If you have anything to say about yourselves (or your friends or the people you know) about being behind, then spill it.

One of these friends even decided to take a year off to work!
Another friend just can't concentrate in her degree (life sciences) so she takes like 3 courses a semester max and barely passes them. She's also going to probably spend an extra year.
Another friend couldn't decide her major. Logically, she feels sciences are better but is more interested in geography. Result? an extra year.
Me, I had to go to another country and ended up skipping a semester. Now that I'm back, I have to spend an extra year just making up for what I missed since I had to drop full year courses too. Result? I won't graduate until I'm 23, rather than 22. Then, if I decide to pursue further studies, another 2-3 years after
Just highlighting how common this is. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Maybe you're not using the right method of learning.
As long as you're comfortable with yourself and what you're accomplishing, it's all good. I understand where your parents are coming from but I've also seen a lot of people finish uni in 4 years and then realize they hate the field they're in and spend ANOTHER extra 3-4 years trying to gain education in a completely different field.
As long as you make sure you're going to stay with this degree in the future, graduating at 24 isn't that bad considering other people who switch degrees etc.

if you are slow then take one class at a time so that you can focus.

I know I have to push myself so that I don't fall behind. I've changed my major two times already, but I'm not behind at this point because the majors all kind of relate to each other, so I haven't taken a class that I didn't need. But honestly, my school requires so many core classes (PLUS the classes in your area of study), that it's impossible to finish in 2 years. Yeah, I go to a CC now because it's a lot cheaper. u_u

my philosophy is dont let your parents know. what they dont know wont hurt 'em.

i'm behind by a year in college as well. my parents are constantly pressuring me to 'study more'. screw that. i'm not going to overload myself with work and end up failing classes just to stop hearing it from my parents.
i agree somewhat with krndreamer. i don't let my parents know everything. just bits and pieces so they'll just lay off.

솔직히 이젠 모르겠어. 어떻게 해야 그녀를 위한 길이 될는지...

what for. sure after graduating uni they will look at your academic transcript, but after min. 2 years of experience i doubt most will even look at this transcript. also, i know of graduates who finished with work experience under their belts and many employers skipped the transcript part, is just not all that important, at least here in australia.
