How to deal with super annoying parents

I'm in my junior year and my father has declared , "she wont go to NYU" because NYU is my dream school. Unfortunately I suck at math so he thinks all hope is lost. Its not the kind of she wont go to NYU because she chooses not to, but rather .. he's like officially declaring that I have no chance.
Which is super annoying. And heart-breaking.
How to deal with super annoying parents? Especially during junior year.. omfg as if we dont have enough crap to be worrying about.

im a senior tho..
drown them out...consider your dad as motivation.
everytime he declared u aint going to NYU or some other college
just go whtever...ima work off my a** and get into it and stick it in ur face.
just wait and see u man-whore.
and once u do make it to NYU....just yell suck my cojonesssss.
i basically did that...
the parentals are telling me i cant get into any east coast school
but i know i have a decent chance..
so im doing anything i can to help me get into a reputable school.

Your pops is using the only way he knows how to motivate you. Just do your absolute best and I'm sure you can get in.

I WANT TO GO TO USC TOO...SO BADLY
AND MY PARENTS ARE EXACTLY LIKE YOURS!
MY DAD AND MOM ARE LIKE, "USC?!?!?! WHY NOT UCLA...if anything?" (I'm from NY)
They think UCLA's prestige completely dominates USC. Well, UCLA is a great school and I'm not impugning it, but USC seems so much better! lol
But I know deep inside, if I get into USC, I'm packin ma bags and movin to LA. I think my folks will send me because I've told them at least 900 times that USC is my #1 school, and my dad even went to a USC infosession with me for like fourrr hours.
chibi: Oh, and my dad, at first, was like that too but for a completelty different reason: he didn't want me to go to USC/NYU/BC or other "lower" colleges because they cost the same as, let's say, the Ivy League, but the quality is "inferior". Yeah right... (my dad is predicting that we will get no fin.aid at all, so the 50k will have to come straight out of his pockets.)
Now though, half my colleges (or more) are "those type of schools" so he knows I'm going to end up there.
And if I don't get into USC, I'm gonna trek my way to a building of NYU and jump off =) lol.

Heck, it's from people not related to me as well. They automatically assume I'm just like my family members.
And I'm not going to go try to prove them wrong by going to some really bad school, because I don't want to do that either. -__- I have no way out. ASD;FLKASDFJASDJ
So now I go around telling everyone I'm failing all of my classes so they'll get off my back about these things.

please do not PM me asking me to close threads, etc! i am no longer a mod! ^^ thanks!

But other than that, they don't really bug me, unless I bring it up.
Just use your father as motivation! Good luck to you, dear!

Make that a super annoying family. When there's pressure from both sides of the family to do well, it's so stressful. I'd rather have them tell me I'm a failure and not expect me to do well than expect me to do well because all of them went to an amazing school. It's irritating.
Heck, it's from people not related to me as well. They automatically assume I'm just like my family members.

I HAVE THAT SAME SITUATION! AHHHHH And it drives me insane because I HAVE to do good but I don't WANT to but then I do because it'll screw me over. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Anyways. About your parents..
Slap them.
Serisously, I hate when my parents are like that.
They bring me down so much, it's like, SHUT UP if you're not going to make me feel better.
But, I know that my parents aren't doing it to put me down. It's just their way of saying "fighting"
Prove your dad wrong
You'll feel good. Hahahaha.
