It seems impossible to find a free video converting program out there. Everything I've tried has either left a huge water mark or only converted 50% of the file. I even bought a program (ROXIO-COPY AND CONVERT 3) and it said my video card didnt meet their minimum requirements....this is VERY frustrating!!!
So please....where can I find a free video converting program? Preferably avi to wmv.

This goes out to all the others on this forum who oppose anything about suggesting torrenting or torrent sites: Spreading information is not a crime, it's no different than telling people about KKK and Black Panthers, it's the persons' responsibility what he chooses to do with the information kthx.

VirtualDub. But it depends on what you want to convert. Doesn't work with WMV derivatives or RealMedia (though maybe it could?).

go to videohelp.com and search for convereters there. They list a lot of free programs for just about any job you want to do. I think media coder is a pretty good and free program that converts a lot of stuff, but it's a little confusing to use.
