so, what are the new popular fads these days?

electronics (i.e. mp3 players, cameras, etc..)
beverages (alcoholic + non-alcoholic)

clothes
shoes
general retail stores
sports / sports gear
computers /+ accessories

music

etc.... oh, and it would be great if you guys elaborated on where you shop when you go to purchase these products (stores, websites, catalogues, etc)!


Im doing a little general market research for work.. looking for up and coming fads, and market leading companies.
Would greatly appreciate any input!

electronics (i.e. mp3 players, cameras, etc..): Not really new but the iPod's still really popular ^^; As for phones, a lot of people got the chocolate...

foods: Panera's, starbucks
clothes: Hollister, Abercrombie, AE

general retail stores: Target!

beverages (alcoholic + non-alcoholic)- i'd say the norm, such as greygoose, mikes hard lemonade, etc.
clothes- jeans are a BIG hit right now, liek true religions, sevens, 575's, rock and republic, citizens of humanity, frankie B's, etc. i usually get these at planet funk, saks, bloomingdales, nordstrom
shoes- everyones into the usual converse, slippers, etc. just at local malls

computers/electronics- mac/apple seems to be more popular now than it was before
